Falcons make History!

In their third match up against the notorious Raptors, the Falcons finally gave them what they had coming to them. The team put up a tough fight against the boys from schools around RAK and after a tight scoring run during the whole game, Elias Hajjar sank 2 free-throws to seal the win. [read the review]

Mustafa Radwan tournament date announced!

Thursday 6th of March, is now the official date on which the Mustafa Radwan Basketball Tournament will be held. The tournament will feature 6 basketball matches between schools from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah, a barbeque and drinks that will run throughout the whole day, a girls exhibition game between the Falcon girls and a girl team from Abu Dhabi and a cheerleading show by some students from year 3! Al Hamra try out some original basketball strategies!

For the second time in two games, the local basketball team from Al Hamra beat the RAKESS Falcons by 11 points on Tuesday, this time atleast by leaving all our players in one piece!. However, it was very hardly fought (and most people should agree with me here) considering the Falcons were playing with a bunch of guys, several of whom, were twice their age! I mean correct me if I’m wrong, but the Al Hamra coach Mr. Ali, tried to put the team’s manager on the court…his excuse “it is only friendly match’! Hey Mr. Ali, with all due respect… go read the rulebook!! Ontop of that, the Falcons weren’t up to their best standards – the team was shooting 36% for most of the game but then again, trying to face intimidation from players who probably schooled with Coach Rosky, is extremely hard. New Gear in the House!

Just yesterday, the Falcons received a whole load of new athletics shirts. Ordered from Celtic Originals .co, the Falcons received 250 general athletics shirts, blue in colour with the Falcons logo, and a design on the back (designed by Kourosh, one of the forwards for the basketball team) and another load of 50 white shirts for the basketball team with the logo, and a wicked design on the back (again, designed by Kourosh).
