Pentarianism is a Neo-Pagan path. Its not something that is to complex in its ways. It is however a bit more strict and extreme than other Neo-Pagan paths such as wicca.
Pentarianism involves self taught, self styled martial arts training. Each Pentarian is responsible for developing and learning their own techniques and styles. It is not suggested, by any means, to use a dojo or any other type of training center. The ideal environment for a Pentarian to train is in the forest. Also, it is prefered for a Pentarian to use their own equipment as it already carries residual traces of personal energy.
On the ritualistic side of Pentarianism there is nothing left to be desired. A Pentarian is permited to use any spell, incantation, etc... as long as its within the moral bounds of the Pentarian. The morral bounds are also a part of the path. These morals include but are not limited to Honor, Loyalty, Respect, and Chivalry.
Equality
I believe all things to be equal. I am no better than a tree, a grass hopper, or even grass. I am no less than an animal, a plant, or a divinity.
Why such a strong, un-orthadox, and possibly arogant belief in equality? Well, it is as simple as this. I can weild a sword with great skill, I can write artisticaly, and draw with the ut-most talent. Some people can not do those things, or can not do them as well. I am not better than those people for they have skills I do not posess or skills in which I can not match. The God and Goddess may have been our creators, but thats simply a skill they have that I do not. Why should that skill alone make them better than I?
Creation
There is some evidence of evolution in the world. However, I also have proven to myself that the devine and the magick exist. So, it is my belief that evolution was the tool used to create by the God and Goddess. Why deny evidience that exists?
Balance
The use of magicks alone on a path of non-violence and peace, is without balance. Balance must be respected and incorperated for ones path and self to be balanced. I am not suggesting violent behavior is a must; violent behavior should only be used when neccessary. To bring balance to my own personal path, I practice free style martial arts as well as magicks. I do not pick fights, but I do fight when it is neccessary. Thus, inner peace comes from balance that can never come from non-violence alone.
Honor
Honor is many things, the main basis of it being respect for ones self and for others. The concept of it is popular in asia, as well as being a well known and highly coveted concept in the middle ages.
Honor: 1. strong moral character or strength, and adherence to ethical principles.
Being moral is important no matter what your belief system. One must have moral standards to live by, in order, to lead a good life.
Honor: 2. great respect and admiration
It is always important to respect others and admire them for who they are. No one else can be who a person is, if you show some one respect you will recieve respect.
Honor: 3. personal dignity that sometimes leads to recognition and glory
Personal dignity is a very important. Comprimising ones dignity, kills a part of ones self that is not replaceable.
Chivalry
Chivalry is a concept from the middle ages, often it is said that chivalry is dead. As long as there are people who practice chivalry, it can never be dead.
2. courteous and considerate behavior, especially toward women
Being courtious is absolutely voilitile to any one who wishes to have friends, a friend gives you the courtesy that you give them.
Being considerate is an absolute must for all people, to be inconsiderate of someone, means you do not care about them. If you do not care for them, why should they care for you?
It also means being considerate when approaching a situation, to approach any situation of any importance without consideration is foolish. How can you know what to expect from a situation, what you want out of it, or even if you want it to occur, if you do not first think about it?
Justice
Justice is one of the most important aspects of today's world, it's what separates the people with good intentions from the bad. Although, today's justice systems are questionable. Personal justification is still a good concept to hold on to.
1. fairness or reasonableness, especially in the way people are treated or decisions are made.
Acting in a fair manor is something that every one expects and deserves. To treat someone in a less than fair manor is to say, you do not respect them even in the slightest. In such an unfair world, how can we possibly tolerate treating each other with prejudice?
Patience
Patience is one of today's most recognized concepts; a word that is used often. An important concept that is applied every day, without patience we would forget to take the time to do things properly.
1. the ability to endure waiting or delay without becoming annoyed or upset, or to persevere calmly when faced with difficulties.
Enduring time is of the utmost importance. If we do not endure time, it is highly likely we would end up ruining our own lives or not surviving. Calmness is also a voilitile aspect of patience. If we do not aproach a situation calmly, then we can not consider it as best as possible.
