Garlic Mustard Pull
"Our mission is, working with others, to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife, and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people."
Gibraltar Bay Unit
SATURDAY - APRIL 30, 2011
10 a.m. - Noon
(Please wear boots, bring work gloves and water)
Consider joining us in our effort to remove this invasive species from the Gibraltar Bay Unit of the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge.
Dense stands of the Garlic Mustard in springtime threaten our woodlands
by choking the forest floor not allowing such natives as the Trillium to survive. Healthy forests need sunlight to allow seedlings to grow - please consider participating, it is some of the most important work we do!
The Gibraltar Bay Unit is located on Grosse Ile.
Follow East River south, past Groh Road to the unit.
