How is it that a nation such as the United States can have the military might that is does but a power system that is completely out dated? I can understand why we might, then again our military consists of twenty planes (probably including the Snow Birds), four armored vehicles, two out of commission subs, eight broken helicopters from the 50’s, a handful of rusting ships, and a partridge in a pear tree.
The current US administration is losing trillions in Iraq but somehow a domestic issue such as this has gone completely unnoticed. It’s a little disconcerting to think that they are also the world’s largest nuclear power. If their power networks are this out of date, I’d hate to think what else might be.
And, of course, that’s not even bothering to mention the connection between senior government officials and Enron.
Personally, I’ll take the inept bunch we have up here to the farce that is the current United States government. So blame Canada. Hey, it may even end up being all our fault. And if that’s the case, won’t that be a refreshing change for the United States. Just think, the US government will have accused someone of something and it will actually end up being true. I wonder if they’ll invade?
No. They’ll probably come up with some witty name for poutine that attempts to belittle us.
