Im action games, the player has more abilites to fight in many more ways, but is usually stuck to a linear storyline not allowing them to explore the world, but follow what the games wants the person to follow. Action Games can vary a lot between the real world, and beyond, allowing the player to explore many different types of genres, all in one, and explore what could happen in the future. Action games can range greatly in weapontry, time period, characters, setting,..., these factors can play a huge role in a great action game, if the developers are creative enough.
