My Favorite Books

Harry Potter by JK Rowling - I definitely love all the Harry Potter series that just keeps on getting better and better, not to mention longer. J.K. Rowling did a great job that's why I also added her in my list of favorite authors.

Spiderwick Chronicles by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi - Another piece of work by a great author. I like Holly Black's style. Another reason why I like this book and Holly Black is because its filled with faeries, just like Black's other book, Tithe, which is also one of my favorites. DiTerlizzi's artwork is also great, it definitely matches the mood of the story.

Tithe by Holly Black - This is Black's masterpiece, her first and most famous novel. Well, I haven't really read this book because I couldn't find one, but I heard lots of great things about. Besides, I've already seen what Holly Black can do by reading Spiderwick Chronicles and I'm pretty sure this one's a hit!

Daughters of the Moon: Goddess of the Moon by Lynne Ewing - This is the first book of the 10 series. I like this book but I lost interest in the series as I read each book. Unlike Harry Potter that gets better and better, this one is the exact opposite.

Island of Blue Dolphins - The first non-fiction novel I have ever read. It's been a long time since I last held my hands on this book since I just borrowed it from the library when I was in grade school but so far, I still remember the story and I still love it.

Avalon - I have only read books 1-3 of this series, again, I couldn't find the other books. I saw the other titles in the internet but I couldn't buy it since I don't have a credit card and my parents don't like it when I buy things online. Oh well...

Matilda - I first saw the movie version of this book before I actually read it and in my opinion, I like the movie better. I think I expected too much of Roald Dahl since JK Rowling usually gets compared to him by other critics. I don't know, I saw a different version of Matilda before and the one I read is different from the one I saw and much thinner too so maybe they just cut the good parts of the story from the book I read so I was not that captivated by the book. Anyway, I like the story, movie or otherwise so I think my favorite book worm (right after Belle from Beauty and the Beast), deserves a seat in my hall of all-time favorite books
