Matt has changed a bunch from season 1.  For one thing he ditched his harmonica and took up the guitar.  In fact, he started a band which has a lot of fans including Davis's older sister June.  Matt has also realized what it means to have good solid friends.  He is not as protective of his brother TK as he used to be but he still thinks it is his responsibility.  Matt is still the loner of the group but it seems that he gets along with everyone.
