However, God in His great mercy and love for us gave His Son Jesus Christ to come down to earth and pay the
punishment due our sins by dying on the cross for us, such that those who believe in Him would not be punished to hell but
have eternal life
1 Cor. 15: 3;
1 Pet. 3:18).
Also, Jesus rose from the dead three days later
1 Cor. 15:4),
showing His victory and power over death.
Because Jesus paid the penalty of our sins on our behalf, those who believe can now have friendship
(Jn. 15:15) and fellowship with God
(1 Cor. 1:9;
2 Cor. 5:19)
and will one day see God and spend eternity with Him
1 Pet. 1:3),
where there will be everlasting joy and no more tears, sorrows and suffering
In this light, God now commands all people to repent
It is thus our responsibility to receive Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior, accepting that
(1) we have sinned against God (repentance), (2) knowing that we canít save ourselves, (3) turning away from our idols and trusting by faith alone
in Christ alone (Jn. 14:6)
to save us by His death on the cross
Rom. 10:9) and
(4) obeying and following the risen Christ as a result of our salvation
Therefore, you must either receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior,
and thus have everlasting joy and
eternal life with God; or reject Jesus and thus continue on the path of disobedience, at the end being eternally separated from God and
suffering eternally in hell. (Jn. 3:36;
Please make a wise decision and repent and believe in Jesus now.
By receiving Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, you are to follow Him. Jesus says,
"I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (Jn. 14:6)
Therefore, since Jesus is the only way to God, all other ways are wrong and are to be rejected. Thus, by receiving Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior,
you are to reject any other god(s)/goddess(es) and follow him only.
Note: Only by believing in the Jesus of the Bible will save you, not the Jesus of the Mormons (brother of the devil),
the Jesus of the Jehovah's Witness (an angel made into a man) or the Jesus of the New Age (an enlightened man in tune with his inner divine consciousness).
