What more can be said? This book by J. I. Packer is a true treasure written in an engaging way to help us know who God truly is. Passion for God seeps out of the book and will impact all who read it who has a hunger to know God more. Two excerpts from this book have impacted me deeply (here and here), although it is a struggle to apply what has been written. The only gripe I have is that Packer uses the RSV and the NEB translations, which are not known for being good translations of the Bible (although the verses he cited from them are okay; when problems arose, he would just use other better translations like the KJV).
