We would like to extend an invitation to you to believe and receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. We here all welcome you and ask you to consider answering His call to you.
Why do I need to be saved?
1. I am doing fine, why do I need to be saved?
The Bible tells of a farmer who thought he was doing fine too. The farmer told himself, “Self, you’ve done well! You’ve got it made and can now retire. Take it easy and have the time of your life.!” But, “Just then, God showed up and said, ‘Fool! Tonight you die. And your barnful of goods -- who gets it?”
2. I am just as good as some of the “Christians” I see, why should I go to hell and they go to heaven?
Hebrews 9.27 says, “Everyone has to die once, then face the consequences.“ And Revelation 20:12 says, "I saw a Great White Throne and the One Enthroned. Nothing could stand before or against the Presence, nothing in Heaven, nothing on earth. And then I saw all the dead, great and small, standing there -- before the Throne! And books were opened. Then another book was opened: the Book of Life. The dead were judged by what was written in the books, by the way they had lived.”
Those who are Christians have their names in the Book of Life.
3. How do I get my name in the book of life?
In John chapter three, a religious man came up to Jesus and told him that he knew Jesus was from God or Jesus would not be able to do the mighty things he was doing. Jesus then told the religious man that he needed to be reborn. The man was startled and asked Jesus how could someone be reborn when they are full grown. He told Jesus how it would be impossible to return again into his mother’s womb and be reborn. But, Jesus was not talking about a physical birth. He was talking about a spiritual birth. He told the religious man, “You’re not listening. let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation --- the ‘wind hovering over the water’ creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into new life -- it is not possible to enter into God’s Kingdom.”
4. How can I be reborn?
Romans chapter 10:13 says, “...Say the welcoming word to God --- “Jesus is my Master” -- embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting Him to do it for you. That’s salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: “God has set everything right between Him and me!”
5. Can you run this by me again? It seems too simple.
Yes. It is very simple.
Admit that you have sinned. Any wrong thing you’ve done made you a sinner and separated you from God.
Be willing to turn from your sin and make Jesus the Master of your life.
Believe that Jesus died for your sins, was buried, and then was raised from the dead.
Then pray, that means talk to Jesus just like you would talk to me. Say, “Dear Jesus, I am a sinner. I need Your forgiveness. I believe that You died for me so that I could live with you for eternity. I ask you Jesus to come into my heart and save me. I ask You to be my personal savior and be my Master.” Now, thank Him. You are born again.
6. Now what do I do?
Tell everyone. Get a Bible. A King James Version and a translation such as the New Living Translation or the Message Bible will help you a a lot to get started.
Read your Bible. Let nothing stop you. Pray. Praying is talking to God. Soon, you will hear Him begin to talk to you. He will hint to you about what He likes and what He does not like. You are as precious to Him as a new born baby is to a new father. He is your Father. Don’t be afraid of Him. He thinks you are the greatest thing that has happened on earth. I’m not kidding.
