Electric Fan Wiring

I had an overheating problem at Hot August Nights in 2003, so I installed a 3 row radiator and an electric fan. I hooked up a dash light to indicate when the fan was running, but the light would turn on on the freeway when the fan would spin, like a windmill generator. I hooked up a bridge rectifier (taking advantage of the internal diodes) and now the fan only turns on when the power from the temp switch activates the fan. I have it set up to turn on at 195 degrees and off at 175 and it works great. Thanks Randy for correcting the diagram! To return to the previous page, press the back button on your browser.
