Welcome to Nazarene Temple Ministries website. The Gospels say of Jesus (Jeshua), "And he shall be a Nazarene." The Church teaches that this was because Jesus grew up in the village of Nazareth. Yet, it is more likely that Jesus was called a Nazarene because he was a Nazarene Essene and not an Orthodox Jew. Many of the teachings of Jesus can be traced back to Essene teachings and, specifically, those Essenes of the Nazarene sect.

We strive to identify with the Nazarenes because we believe that they were the first Followers of Christ. We do not buy into all the dogmas and doctrines of the mainstream Christian churches today. We draw many of our beliefs from the Old Testament, the New Testament, and from the writings of the ancient Essenes such as the Essene Gospels of Peace. We also draw our beliefs from some of the writings of the early Gnostic Christians such as the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas.

We believe fully in the Biblical teaching that "God is Love." We do not hold the view of God as some sort of divine tyrant ready to judge, condemn, and punish. Rather, people who really follow the teachings of the Christ are under the Law of Grace EVEN though some like to think that we are all still under the heavy yoke of the Laws of Moses, the 10 Commandments.

Please feel free to browse our website and, if you would like, please feel free to join us. You do not have to become a Nazarene Christian to be a part of this ministry. We do ask, however, that you hold a Faith in God through Christ. We consider ourselves to be modern Nazarene Christians.

There are those who claim that the Gospel has already been preached unto the whole world BUT we hold the view that the GOSPEL has not even begun to be preached unto the whole world. The gospel that has been preached has often been one that is CONTRARY to the teachings of Christ and the concept of God as Love. The true Gospel of Christ is about Love, Grace, and Brotherhood. The teachings given to us by Christ support the view that "God is Love" not hatred, wrath, or anger.
