The Oneness of God

"For until ye become as a savior, as a help to some soul that has lost hope, lost its way, ye do not fully comprehend the God within, the God without."

(Edgar Cayce Reading 1158-14)

"As the Holy Law reveals a different face to each of the Children of Light, Yet it is unchanged in its Essence....and the People of Light Are flames of radiance."

[from: "The Moon: The Essene Gospels of Peace]

Edgar Cayce defined the Israel of the Lord as "all who seek". In the Old Testament we read, "Hear O Israel the Lord Our God is One." We might even say, "Hear All Who Seek, God is One."

In the Essene Gospels of Peace we find yet another reference to the Oneness of God. Here we find that even though God may present different faces to different people the fact remains that God is One by whatever name. And, it is the knowing of this Oneness that we can shine like flames of radiance in our lives as we help those who have perhaps lost the Way of Love, Light, Peace, and especially Hope.

I believe that our biggest global dis-ease today is not sin but Hopelessness. I think that most people at least try to be decent human beings. And that is really all that God asks of any one of us...to at least TRY. We are not perfect and there is nothing that says we have to be perfect on this earth but all we are asked to do is to try and trying is always better than not trying at all.

You can choose to call God by any name you so desire. You can choose to concieve of God as male, female, or neither. You can choose to see God as young, old, or ancient. You can choose to see God as red, yellow, black, white, brown, or any other color or a combination thereof. However you choose to concieve of God is really minor because it does not change the fact of the essence of God Spirit which is always Love. ALWAYS LOVE!!

It is in the Spirit of Love which is the Essence of God that we find unity, universalism, and the Oneness of God. It is in this Spirit of Love that we find Hope in a world plagued by the dis-ease of Hope-lessness.

God has promised to meet us WITHIN and to commune with us WITHIN our hearts. Thus, I believe that God reveals himself/herself to us in very personal ways. I do not believe that God is impersonal, aloof, nor distant. One God, Many Faces. One God, Many Names. This is the unity and Oneness of God and it REMAINS united and One even though humanity tries so hard to fragment the Oneness of God through our battling religions.

It is my hope that you will mediate on this Oneness and allow it to empower and enrich you and your spiritual pathway. It is my hope that within this Universal Spirit of Love which is God our Creator that you will find Hope because there is a great deal of Hope in this realization. And it is especially my hope that in realizing this Oneness of God that we will each reach out to eachother and stop the warring that have so often characterized ALL of our religions.
