Hey newlywed—congratulations on your recent
wedding!!! It took marriage to finally
get you to move out of your parents’ house.
YIPPEE!!! You’ve been single
for quite a while and earning a nice income.
Now you’re married and your spouse has a nice income too. You should—you both went to college and
have nice jobs. However, after doing
your income taxes recently, you realize that DINKS (Dual Income No Kids) get
slammed in taxes when they have no deductions. So, you and your spouse start discussing
ways to increase your deductions in order to save on income taxes. You start toying with the idea of buying a
house. After all, owning a home is the
American dream. |
