DRIVER INFORMATION PAGE

My first year I started racing was 1989 with the candy apple red 1937 Chevy Coupe Bodied Modified Known as the "Blast From The Past" Coupe. That was the start of my career. I traded a 1970 Camaro, and a 1979 Grand Prix to Tony Zastko for the racecar at the last race of 1988. It was very hard to maintain the car with a low budget. I had help from some other racers like Tony Zastko, Freddy Ham, Jim Houser, Rod Snyder, John Hettler etc. The car was a dirt chasis and was hard to make work on blacktop. My best finnish with that car was 3rd, with Gary Wentz 1st and Dale Kern 2nd.They were driving the new low Troyer frame Modified that everyone races today. What made me race was all the years as a child my dad took us to races and promised us he was going to put one of us in a race car to see us race. Every time he took us it got into my blood more and more and when I turned 16 I knew it was something I needed to do so I would not continue getting speeding tickets anymore.I always planned on racing from like 5 on up. When my brothers and I played with our Matchboxes I always had to have the loud pipes, and race them to the next place. I even built race tracks in the yard to race our radio controled cars at. I always planned to have my future take me higher in auto racing, maybe one day getting to the bigtop? My goal is to win the points one year, and have all my family there for the picture including my sons. Pit crew was My mom, Troy, rodney, char and sandy. It was a learning experience.
