MY BERWICK SPIEL
Berwick Camp is the best place in the world!! There are no words to describe the feeling you get when you're there. It's like a home away from home. Berwick Camp is almost like a week's vacation from your life! There are no worries about work, or school, or any other problem you might be facing. Every year, you come back for that same week and it's like you never left. It's the same people in the same cabins or tents, it's the same activities on the same days as the year before, and it's really just a place to make long time friends.
I started going to camp at 10 months old and have never missed a year since!! That's where I met my longest known friend, Katherine. Don't ask how we met because I can't remember; all I know is that she was always there every year when I arrived at camp the last Saturday of July. We are 2 completely different people, but at camp that doesn't matter which makes it so much more special. And now for the past 3 years, Christina and Natasha have joined our little crew!
So this page is pretty much just a way of trying to let people know how amazing this camp really is. When you're telling someone that you go to a town with one road, a department store called Bargain Harleys for a shopping mall, you stay in wooden cabins and have church services like 100 000 times a day, they think you're crazy for loving it so much. No one will ever know what Berwick is really like until they've actually been there!! It's so cute with the many colorful cabins and beautiful hemlocks, I don't know how anyone could NOT like it!! And when I say it's a church camp, it's not all about God and going to church (I hate church). It mostly means that everyone there is nice, wonderful, and caring people who all get together once a year to see how everyone has been doing for the past year.
Anyways, so I guess the point I'm trying to make is that Berwick isn't as boring as some people might think. And I'm going to try and prove it with this webpage. So here it goes...

MY COTTAGE- Our first cottage was pink and 2 story but it got so old it started to rot and was thought to be a danger hazard. So they tore it down and built my new little red cabin. Well, its not really "new" anymore.

TOWN ATTRACTIONS- When we need a break from the woods, we head to downtown Berwick. These are some of the hot spots. First there's Bargain Harley's, then Frenchy's, and then Tim Hortons. I didn't have any pics of Pharmasave but it's a pretty popular spot too.
OUT OF TOWN ATTRACTIONS- Trips that are organized usually by the youth group for outings to get away from the camp for a day. It's usually a day at "The Beach" which is really a lake and then a big trip to Upper Clements Park. One year we went tubing instead of UCP but I don't have pics of that. The first pictures are of the beach and the rest are from the bus ride to and at UCP.
FUNNY FACES- I think that's self explanatory... but what I find interesting is that Christina is in most of the pics!! What does that say about her??
THE BALCONY- Katherine's Balcony has been the hang out ever since we were little. We had some pretty good times... and I think everyone has been up there at least once during their time at Berwick. Anyways, when it shows the view from the balcony, it's going from left to right so you get it all!
