“I heard you were in trouble and hopped the next train. I just got in. So really now. How come you don’t have a nifty marble?” He pointed to the necklace.
“I’ve used one before. I will never do it again, nasty burns. Here let me introduce you to my family. This is my mom, her friend Sue, and Sue’s daughter Mallory. Everyone, this is Collin. He is a fiery red head from Ireland who loves to drink and always has my back.”
“He can have my back any day.” Sue whispered to Cindy. Sam glared at them.
“Anyway, before I was interrupted, I was going to show you your frogman suit. It’s called the Freiman. It keeps you warm when you’re cold, cold when you’re warm, dry when you’re wet...”
“Does it keep you wet when you’re dry?” Sue and Cindy asked in unison.
“What? Why the hell would you want to be wet when your dry?” Sam asked.
“For when you meet a hot guy.” Sue said
“Yeah what if I wanted to be ready right away?” Cindy asked.
“Agh!” Sam yelled and stormed out of the room. She called behind her. “We are done for now go get some food.” She walked down the hallway with Collin laughing behind her. He put his arm around her shoulder.
“So little one. What have you got yourself into now? Europe, guns, and family, that’s some vacation.” He said. They walked into the control room. They were still repairing the windows Sam had busted. He looked at them and just shook his head. “Do you think you can go somewhere without tossing someone through a window?”
“What? It gets their attentions. Besides that man deserved to be thrown. Pompous fool.”
“Well I won’t argue with that one. So how does it feel to have a bounty on your head?” Collin asked.
“Well it’s not on my top list of fun things to have. I have to hunt down who ever this is though. I have to get back to America. I have to stop this bomb from going off.”
“Whoa slow down, slow down Sam. Take it one step at a time. I bring good news. I know a hide out for some of the men you’re looking for. I say we storm it and bust heads.”
“What kind of hideout?”
“It’s a base that houses about two hundred terrorist soldiers.” He said with a smile. Sam laughed, Collin was always up for danger. It usually got the two of them in trouble but Sam never told him no. This would be no exception.
Sam spent the rest of the week teaching her mom and Mallory how to fire weapons, Sue surprisingly already was proficient with guns. They went over basic training skills and when Saturday came Sam agreed to let them come along to the base. The building was more of a mansion house than anything else. Hedges ran down the long driveway. A large garage was attached to the three story building. The six of them were crouched on the outside of the shrubs.
“Do you see any cameras? Because I don’t.” Sue said. She was using her glasses to scan the building.
“They only use extreme amounts of surveillance in the movies. I’m betting there are security cameras inside the doors.” Sam explained.
“So how are we getting in? Scaling the walls and going through vents?” Cindy asked. Liza and Collin laughed.
“Probably through the garage. See that window open? Its not alarmed, the camera inside probably is facing the door.” Liza pointed.
“With good reason, that window is barely opened and is so small, no one can fit through that.” Collin said eyeing the opening.
“Well… someone might be able to.” Mallory nudged Sam. They laughed and made there way to the garage. The window was about five feet off the ground, two and a half feet wide and four feet tall. It only opened at the top where the glass leaned in about forty-five degrees. Sam handed her gun to her mom and used Collin and Sue to boost her up. She gripped the building edge inside of the window and tried pulling herself in with a chin up. The dirt under her hands made her slip a little and her foot landed on Sues chest. She pushed off and realized that she was too long to go completely in the window. Sam searched for a rafter and after finding one pulled herself all the way in. She lowered herself to the ground. The camera was easy to find. It was facing the door from the wall Sam came in from. She pulled a small devise out of her pocket. It had two wires on it that she clipped to the wires of the camera. It would now show the last five minutes over and over again in a loop. She went to the door and after checking for security alerts, opened it.
“Ok, you guys know what to do. Can you handle it? This is the real thing. You need to be ready to kill these men.” Sam said to her new crew. They looked a little shaky but said they were ready. They entered the main building to find themselves in a small room with two doors. Sam motioned for team one (Sue, Cindy, Mallory, and Collin) to go through one door as her and Liza would go through the other. They obeyed and Sam got a twinge of doubt as she watched her family and friends disappear behind the door, but shook it off. This was part of the job. Her and Liza walked down a long hallway. There were only three doors, one on each side and the third at the end of the hall.
The plan was to find the bunker rooms and gas them. Kill as many as possible before anyone noticed something was wrong. Liza took the right door and Sam took the left. They put fiberglass wire cameras under the doors and lucked out. These were bedrooms, about fifty men to a room. They slid a tube under the door and turned the toxic gas on. After about three minutes they donned gas masks and entered the rooms to check the bodies. Anyone still breathing was quickly and quietly finished. Suddenly from somewhere in the house gunfire erupted.
“FUCK!” Sam cried, her heart dropped as she thought about her mom. She turned to head in the others direction, but Liza grabbed her.
“You’re a professional act like it!” She said. Sam knew she was right and pulled two desert eagles out. Liza kicked the third door open and dropped to her knees as they both opened fire. It was a dining room filled with men. They never had a chance. All of Sam’s shots where to the head or chest and the automatic Liza wielded was murder.
