To eliminate the chance of wheel spin on launch, just shift your car into 1st gear after have stopped on the target lines. Then click on the accelerator button, but don't move it yet. Wait till the last amber light goes, then nail the gas. That's it. You'll never lose traction, no matter how fast you run. It'll also make you more consistent.

To get a little bit quicker down the strip, try shifting before the redline. Say if your redline is at 6000 rpm, try shifting at 5800 or 5500. And also if you shift at the same point every time, you'll be more consistent. However, it's not easy to keep your shift points exactly the same. Just keep doing the same thing every time, and you're sure to win at least one race.

This ones for all you starters (newbs) who don't know how to set your dial-in. Everyone will tell you something different, but trust me, this is the best way. Just make five runs with a single setup and do everything the same each time. Now take your fastest run and put that as your dial-in for right now. Now go race and keep a record of all your e.t's. If you find that you're running, say a tenth slower (i.e. your dial-in is 13.12 and your running 13.22's) on most of your runs, try setting your dial-in a little higher. But don't go crazy on it, because you'll end up breaking out most of the time. Just notch it up a little bit at a time. After you get the hang of running brackets, you'll know how close you can put your dial-in to the times you actually run. Good luck.
