Most TV and radio broadcasters do a variety of
programs such as national and local news, talk shows, music programs, movies
and entertainment. Broadcaster can use digital technology to transmit a single
HD TV broadcast or they can mulit- cast several conventional broadcasts. The
working condition of a broadcaster is clean and comfortable, it usually consist
of working in broadcast stations and studios. While others work in production
of shows, and advertising, sales, promotion and marketing.
The
radio and television broadcasting industry provided 255,000 wage and salary
jobs in 2000. Most jobs were in large establishment: more than 60 percent of
all jobs were in establishment with at least 50 employees in 1997. Radio TV
broadcasting establishment are found through out the country.
Weekly
earnings of non supervisory worker in radio and television broadcasting
averaged $670 in 2000, higher then the average of $474, for all private industry.
