this tutorial was made my me, so link would be appreciated but not neccesary. sutible for any graphic programs as it is pixel shaded.

First u have to get a base and add the outline of the hair using the deepest shade of a range of four shades of a colour of your choice. As u can see here I have chosen brown. Include the main strands. Do this and u will end up with something along the lines of the picture above.

Then, using the second deepest shade do a line on the inside of the outline. Be careful not to go all the way round and don’t draw the line around the side of the hair that is not on the side closest to the face. Do this on the strands and not just the outest line.

Next, using the next lightest colour, do the ½ outline routine

And again, do the outline routine using the next lightest colour only this time, also do a double thick line instead.

Fill in any of the gaps with the lightest colour and hey presto! We have hair.

Tip: only do ½ the hair and copy and paste that to the other side so that you only spend ½ the time on it.
