The new 1.9JTD Common Rail direct injection turbodiesel produces 115bhp and 257 Nm torque with better fuel consumption, less noise and low exhaust emissions. Our renowed twin spark 16 valve engines offer impressive performance matched to great flexibility even at low speeds. The 1.6 litre petrol unit, with a power output of 120bhp, offers near-maximum torque at 2000 rpm. The variable geometry intake of the sporty 150bhp 2.0 litre engine enables an even smoother and more gradual power delivery.

SUPREME CONTROL The powerful Alfa Romeo engines are complemented by a range of gearboxes which offer a particularly light and precise action. Change gears without ever taking your hands off the wheel. The sequential Selespeed manual gearbox, available on the 2.0 Twin Spark engine, offers clutchless control at your fingertips, with two steering wheel-mounted control pads originally developed for F1 racing. The Selespeed also comes with a 'CITY' option that offers normal automatic gearbox functionality.

A 4-kg weight reduction for the 1.6 Twin Spark engine translates into fuel savings with lower gas and noise emissions. The 1.9JTD Diesel employs common rail technology and Unijet fuel injection to ensure ultra-efficient combustion and impressively low amounts of environmentally damaging waste gases.
