ARTICLE V            SUFFRAGE 

Section 1.            The right of suffrage shall be exercised by regular member who shall have been in Adamson University for at least one (1) semester immediately preceding the election. 

Section 2.            The chairman and member of the committee on election shall be appointed by the Executive Council at least one (1) month before the election.  This committee shall draw up the election procedures to secure the secrecy and sanctity of the votes prepared, prepare the necessary election gadgets , receive certificate of candidacy of aspiring officials, hear complains, disputes about the elections, proclaim the winning candidates.  Proclamation of the winner will be announce a day after the election.

 Section 3.            The COMELEC shall be composed of ten (10) students including the COMELEC Chairman/Chairperson. The two (2) faculty members shall be appointed by the president will act as an advisers.

 Section 4.            The COMELEC shall be the sole judge of all contexts relating to the election of the officers to this association.  Any decisions, orders or rulings of the COMELEC maybe brought on appeal to the Office of Student Affairs by the aggrieved party within ten (10) days from his receipt of copy thereof.

 Section 5.            In case, no candidacy have been brought up, the Executive Council has the veto power to appoint their successors to position upon consent of the Legal Counselor/Adviser.

 Section 6.            In case, only one party of candidacy have been brought up upon election day, the said party will be automatic successor to the Executive Council upon recognition of the immediate Legal Counselor/Adviser.
