BLACK METAL: THE MOST OBSCURE FORM OF MUSIC

Categorized by large distortioned guitar riffs, hard pounding drumming, a large and loud base line with growled singing resembling and apparently imitating the cookie monster with lyrics talking about the obscure and occult, Black Metal came to be in 1982; when Venom, coined the term in their 1982 Album. Black Metal was at first very underground, and most of the bands that played it came from Scandinavia. It was by definition, not a popularity contest and meant that the members of the band had to transform their livestyles and appearances. Black Metal suffered a large growth in th elate 90's and to this date is at a high point. The Most famous bands are:
