MOVIE AND CD OF THE MONTH: FEBRUARY 2004!!!

Movie of the Month: Eurotrip
I saw two this month, so there was actually some competition as opposed to last month where I only saw Along Came Polly. This time around, I saw two fantastic, though quite different, comedies: 50 First Dates and Eurotrip. As you'll be able to see, I really enjoyed both movies, but when it comes down to it, Eurotrip was just more my type of comedy. Yes, the plot was completely innane and implausible. Yes, a few of the jokes were rather contrived. Yes, I saw it twice and laughed even harder the second time!!! This movie was just too damn funny. In fact, it's the funniest movie I've seen since last year's kick-ass comedy, Old School. The jokes were random, wild, offensive, clever, sometimes witty, vulgar, and in many cases in downright badtaste. THAT'S FUCKIN' COMEDY!!! 50 First dates was awesome, as I'm a stickler for a good love story, but Eurotrip just made me laugh more. My final judgement to change this entry was when I realized that I have no intention of purchasing 50 First Dates, but it is highly likely that I will own Eurotrip. Go see it because it's, unfortunately not doing so well in theatres so it might not last very long.

CD of the Month: Pain of Salvation's 12:5
Again, there was competition this month as opposed to that last. Early in the month, I had bought Incubus' new effort, A Crow Left of the Murder, and I was blown away. This album is still kicking my ass. It is absolutely fantastic, and I knew that 12:5 was going to really have to be something special to give ACLotM a run for it's money. Well let me tell you, after spinning 12:5 nonstop for the past 6 days I don't even have to think about it. 12:5 is a masterpiece. No other words really to describe it.
