Future Plans and Projects
Now that INTENSE has finally began releasing the MP112 Supercharger Upgrade Kit, I've decided the most prudent decision would be to sell the Autorotor for something that has already been done. Although I really like the idea of being the first person to do something, there are always hitches, headaches, and added expenses. On top of this, the MP112 kit has several added perks, including, but not limited to:
- Near stock appearance, just to confuse the poor ricers and V8 owners
- Larger Displacement over stock, giving a higher boost potential (Read: 20+ PSI)
- Less belt slippage, due to larger pulleys for equal amounts of boost (MP112 3.4"=M90 2.75")
Due to the fact that this upgrade is going to require quite a few modifications make the MP112 fit my L67 and allow me to run it at it's full potential without nuking other weak parts on the car, I will be doing the upgrades in stages.
Stage 1
With some tuning, these mods should bring me consistantly into the high 8.20's or very low .30's. Once Stage 1 is complete and I am confident that my car will be able to handle the upcoming power I will move on to Stage 2.
Stage 3
The last and final Stage will be the most intensive. It will include an entire engine overhaul, including but not limited to:
- INTENSE Stage 3 Cylinder Heads w/ Thermal coated Combustion Chambers
- INTENSE Stage 2 Camshaft
- INTENSE Double Roller Timing Chain
- Thermal Coated Forged Pistons (8.5:1 CR, .010" overbore)
- Shot-Peened and Polished Stock Connecting Rods
- Machined Stock Crankshaft
- Coated Clevitte Main and Rod Bearings
- Balanced Rotating assembly
- ARP Main Studs
With the new engine completed and broken in, I will be in dire need of quality dyno tuning. With everything in place, who knows what is possible. Mid 11-second 1/4 mile passes!? I guess I'll just have to wait and see!
