Sponsored by the Mishima Zaibatsu, the first Tekken tournament was nearing its finale. Although eight fighters from around the world were enticed by the offerings of prize money to those who could defeat Heihachi Mishima in the final round, only one fighter had the glory to challenge Heihachi Mishima; his cold-blooded son.
Kazuya Mishima, bearing the scar given to him by his father, battles his father in the same field where Heihachi last disposed of him at age five. After several ours of martial arts warfare, Kazuya gained the title of the King of Iron Fists and successfully defeated his hated father.
Heihachi's body lay on the ground only to be picked up by Kazuya and dropped off of the same cliff where his father had left him to die. Kazuya's childhood is now avenged... Two years have past since Kazuya Mishima won the first "King of the Iron Fists" tournament and since then, the Mishima Zaibatsu has come under Kazuya's leadership. Under Kazuya's control, the Zaibatsu has gained more and more power in addition to agencies around the world. With the mysterious disappearance of Heihachi Mishima, Kazuya Mishima's Zaibatsu is holding the tournament a second time with a prize much greater than the first. There are also rumors of Kazuya's immense power as a dark side spreads throughout the world. Once again, the best fighters from around the world have gathered to compete for the title "The King of the Iron Fists." There is a rumor that Kazuya has made a deal with the Devil.
