WRC Picture Of The Week
The Subaru WRC drivers and co-drivers look optimistic in this
first promotional shot of 2003 although both pairs took DNFs at
Monte Carlo a couple weeks ago.
The Subaru team is now looking forward to Rally Sweden which
will be held this weekend. Hopefully they will fare better that
in Monte Carlo. However, the Subaru World Rally Team has never
been considered a force in the Swedish Rally mainly due to their
car. The cars that usually win this extremely difficult rally
are the smaller more nimble cars like the Peugeot 206. Lets just
hope that team Subaru can turn things around in Sweden and break
their streak of less than stellar finishes in the snow. |

WRC Video Of The Week
This weeks video shows us and outside view of Petters' car. We
follow him while he screams through SS5 at Monte CarloWhen
the video cuts to an on board shot we see the intensity and
connectedness of driver, co-driver, and machine. As Phil Mills
reads out the pace notes calmly Petter loses control of his
Subaru WRC and crashes throwing both men for a jolt. We can hear
Petter utter a statement in a disappointed tone as if he already
knows that the damage to the car will count him out of the rest
of the rally. |
WRX Of The Week
I chose this particular car as the Subaru Sanctuary WRX of the
week for a couple reasons.
First off, the car looks incredible. The owner of this car
has painstakingly recreated the WRC decal package for the street
all the way down to the Robin decal on the front fender.
The menacing looking of the car also caught my eye. The
aggressive body kit looks incredible and the intercooler is
gigantic. There must be some serious turbo work underneath that
hood.
Lastly, the whole package is rounded out in rally blue with
gold rims. Incredible job. My thanks go out to the owner for his
dedication to the WRC look and performance. |

WRX Drag Racing Video Of The
Week
This video is brought to us from our friends at Easy Street
Motorsports. They have designed the fastest new generation WRX
in the world and this video proves it!Look at the timing
board in last frame of the video when it stops. The ESX finished
the quarter in 10.73 seconds @ 135.60 mph. Not too shabby!
You can hear the incredible turbo while and nice low end
exhaust sound as this car screams down the track. This video is
incredible.
