BECOME A MODERN DAY APOSTLE! 

“How to be led by the Holy-Spirit, and walk by faith and obedience” 

It is documented that Jesus had an inner circle; John, James, and Peter. To this inner circle He taught sacred things that were not taught to the other Apostles. With all humility I have to say that I have been blessed with the knowledge of one of these secrets of the Gospels!’ (Recently, the Lord revealed to me that this is where this wisdom was first taught). I am greatly honored to being able to share this ‘Pearl’ with all those who love the Lord.

Now, please hear how this wisdom came into my life, and how applying it in my walk greatly accelerated my spiritual growth. 

(In this essay I will be speaking of deeds I performed, not for vanity’s sake, but to prove to you that I have personally experienced the things that I am writing about. Thus I am a credible witness to such things, and for that reason my words are worthy of being received.)

From different sources two wonderful pearls of truth came into my life  (I will be speaking of them in detail shortly. . . but first I must prepare the ground. . . so please patiently read this entire text). While serving as a full-time street evangelist in Amsterdam Holland’s red-light district, God led me to apply both of these spiritual laws (pearls) in my walk (When put into practice these two spiritual laws complement and enhance one another).  Applying them in my walk sensitized me to the promptings of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit often speaks to us in a subtle fashion, and it is an art to always be following His lead. Without first hearing Him, it is impossible to obey His voice. The wisdom I will be speaking on will help anyone who so desires to fully develop the art of being in tune with the voice of God.

>Note: Its most fruitful when one applies these spiritual laws while doing street evangelism in a crowded city environment. Why is this? In my experience it is because when one follows these spiritual laws in the crowded streets, the Lord leads one through a Holy Spirit designed ‘Spiritual Obstacle Course.’ Walking this  course continually tests you, even prods you, to overcome yourself  (crowded streets are required for one to experience seamless constant testing!). As you overcome yourself you become a quality disciple. . a veritable mobile Church! 

{Revelations- “To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give him a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to him who receives it.”}

By applying both of these spiritual laws in my walk the Lord taught me a precise formula on how to live in tune with the Holy Spirit; walking by faith and obedience to it! Yes a precise formula!! I believe that this is the most sacred spiritual walk on the planet!!!

Over only one-year’s time as I was careful to obey God in ‘almost everything’ asked of me, it earned me great merit in the sight of our Lord. . . as you will see! (Following these spiritual laws would do the same for anyone as ‘God is no respecter of persons.’ For God’s sake when we walk the hard road it attracts grace to us like a magnet! This theology is foreign to the Church people because few do much street evangelism.

Walking this hard road is my Calling. Hopefully, soon this will be the Calling of many others as well! The Almighty One desires that I share with all sincere servants of God everything that I have learned utilizing these ‘two pearls of truth.’

The first pearl came to me through a Franciscan-Christian Saint named Brother Giles. He was one of the spiritual giants of the middle ages, and a spiritual brother of St. Francis of Assisi. In the middle of an especially powerful spiritual experience he was blessed with that lasted a couple of days he came out of his cell, weeping and lamenting about a certain sinful way concerning himself that he had just become aware of. Here is what he said to his companion, “How can I not weep when I have come to see that I am an enemy of God, when He has been so merciful to me and given to me such a great gift? Until now I have gone where I wished and done what I wished, laboring with my hands. But now and henceforth I can not do as I used to, but from now on I must do as I feel ‘Guided from within.’

Thus, the Almighty One taught me through Brother Giles that being ‘Guided from within’ is a major way that the He speaks to us.

The second pearl I heard preached over the pulpit of Glory Chapel  in Hartford, CT.  Here it is. . .

‘When in doubt always side with God’

Most people are pretty much the same in that we are drawn to the things which we enjoy and we resist things that cause us pain or merely discomfort (our cross). Additionally, we resist walking down paths that create more work for us. Therefore, by knowing myself I know most everyone! I’ve discovered that when the Almighty One gives to me easy or pleasing assignments, or those that I desire to do anyways, I hear God’s voice immediately - loud and clear. On the other hand when the Lord gives me assignments that I don’t desire to follow (which is much of what He gives me), I tend to doubt many of these unpleasant ‘Divine requests’. Therefore, the Almighty’s once clear direction becomes cloudy!  Don’t all of you do the exact same thing??? Therefore, for this reason much of God’s will for Believer’s lives is never realized! (What a sad awakening it will be for almost all on our Judgment day!). The Almighty One taught me a sure-fire way to overcome this human frailty. That is the subject matter of this paper.

Stop:  Please take a few minutes to ponder the importance of what has just been said.

Please allow me to illustrate why following this spiritual law is so very powerful. . .

Example: One walks past a porno shop. My experience of what ‘guided from within’ means is that a ‘feeling’ or ‘urge’ is leading you to walk into that shop and witness to the fellow who works inside. . .  encouraging him to consider walking the righteous road, pleading with him to obtain a different job. Since witnessing in this scenario probably will bring an angry responce, my guess is most of us will doubt that the urging may have come from God. Our doubt becomes our excuse not to do it. Then, unless the Lord resurfaces it repeatedly, most of us will never do it! (Often God will gently speak to us only once or twice). I am convinced that nearly everyone in the Church is using this same ‘sly ploy’ to deny the cross that the Lord is offering to each of us (hiding behind our doubts!).

>Note: This is an unconscious way that we all have been hiding out from our cross. We all have been doing this without realizing it!!!

Indeed, this fig leaf is gigantic! All of us are guilty of picking and choosing when we obey the voice of the Lord, and when we do not!! (Therefore, how few souls do you suppose actually succeed in being very obedient to God?)

>Recall the Almighty’s boast of King David, “I have found a man after my own heart, he will do all that I ask of him!” (Do you desire to be an obedient servant like King David? If so. . . keep reading!!!)

Following these two spiritual principals: “Do as you feel guided from within” and “When in doubt always side with God” means when you feel the spiritual nudge / urge prompting you, first ask yourself the question, “Might God ask me to do such a thing?” If the answer to that question is yes, and obeying this inner prompting can’t cause any harm, then you assume it was from God. Therefore, you must obey it!

By following this ‘spiritual formula’ in the sin-riddled streets of the red-light district I no longer was able to hide behind my ‘fig leaf of doubt’ from obeying unpleasant directives of God. Now I was repeatedly confronted with painful deeds to perform (I was repeatedly faced with my cross). Whereas by adhering to my old familiar pattern, it was miles easier for me to hide from God behind my fig leaf of doubt, whenever obeying His voice would cause me some unwanted type of pain.

*Note: Prior to this I had never before realized that I had been hiding from the Holy Spirit all these years. For me I had developed this unconscious knee-jerk reaction to keep me in my comfort zone (hiding out from the Holy-Spirit).

Again, utilizing this spiritual formula, while serving as a full-time street minister in a crowded city environment created an environment where the Lord rapidly ran me through a large number of fiery trials. It was as though I was given the blessed opportunity of stepping on my spiritual accelerator peddle!  (Again, walking this path was akin to a spiritual obstacle course. It was a real tough road!).

Over time, the Lord led me to ‘specialize’ in witnessing to street-level cocaine dealers (definitely not a ministry that I would have chosen for myself!). Walking this harder road the Lord taught me this spiritual truth - “The hardest ministries that hardly anyone wants to work are usually the most sacred ministries to God!” (It has to do with the sacredness of suffering for the faith. . . “Those who suffer with Him will be glorified with Him”.)

As I obeyed the Holy Spirit’s leading (almost all the time), the Lord sanctified me and raised me up to higher ground. {Mark 10:37-39, James and John asked Jesus, “Let one of us sit at your left, and the other at your right in your glory.” Jesus responded by saying, “Can you drink of the cup that I drink, or be baptized by the baptism that I am baptized with?”} . . . Christ’s statement here enlightens us to the spiritual truth that ‘suffering for the faith’ is the most sacred part of Christianity, it’s the sure road to become – “More than a Conqueror!”

I’m not speaking about being saved (a conqueror), I’m speaking about ultimately becoming a friend of God. . . like Abraham!!!! (That is what is meant to be - “More than a conqueror!”)

Following the second spiritual law, ‘When in doubt always side with God’ always gives one the victory in this scenario (one of many scenarios):

If there are certain business dealings (or the like) that are being offered to you or you are presently involved with, and your conscience is telling you ‘might’ be against God - following this second spiritual law - “When in doubt always side with God” - mandates that you refuse to take any chances of sinning against God. Therefore, you must totally reject becoming involved in that dealing no matter how juicy it looks!

(Often, when we have a vested interest on an issue we lose our objectivity on that issue. For that same reason a Judge is obligated to exempt himself from sitting in judgment of cases that personally affect him).

An opportunity to make some fast money might present itself that gets you salivating. However, this dealing might be sinful. (Often on account of our being under great temptation, our minds can become clouded – and this ‘clouded thinking’ causes some people to make terrible choices that can harm society, severely damaging their relationship with God!).

For  example: one night while praying, the Lord revealed to me His great sadness over the fact that many street-level drug dealers aren’t such bad people as they appear to be on the surface. The lure of fast money has caused many people to make a bad choice (to sell crack-cocaine). The Almighty One is distressed over the fact that He is going to have to severely punish some not-so-bad people. Punish them for distributing a highly addictive substance that destroys people’s souls. Therefore, for distributing crack their punishment will be extremelyyyy severe.

The Lord desired me to take holy-action on what He had just revealed to me. But because walking this path was painful and dangerous, I procrastinated. Within a couple of days I felt the heat of the Lord’s  anger directed at me >>> then, I sprang into action!

I would spend lots of time trying to motivate these street dealers to refrain from selling cocaine! (Dangerous work - I received two death threats in one day alone!).  This is the type of work that earns God’s SACRED RESPECT! (Everyone knows that God loves all His servants, but I’m speaking of something  - ‘SPECIAL’).

After speaking with so many street dealers, I was shocked to discover that approximately 15% of them regularly attended church and / or regularly read the Bible! I am not joking!! 

*This example topped the cake! One night there was an individual who approached me to sell me cocaine. I responded to his offer by telling him that the Lord wanted me to tell him something. His immediate response was this - “First let us pray!”  Next, we both bowed our heads in unison, and I humbly allowed him to lead the prayer!!

Here are a few of the main rationalizations I’ve heard Christians use to justify selling this demoniac substance:

1.     ”They are going to buy it from someone anyways. Someone is going to make the money - it might as well be me!”

2.      “The rich folks bring it into the country, its not my sin!’

3.      “To me its just a hussle!”

4.      “I’m not forcing them to buy it!”

5.      “If I know someone has never used, I will not sell to them!”

6.      I wouldn’t classify this one as an excuse - “Since I can not get working papers I must sell this stuff to remain in Holland!” 

(Common sense tells me that this spiritual law is so valuable for the soul that its easily worthy of being in the Bible as you yourself can attest! For those souls who apply it, it cuts through all these rationalizations to do wrong. As you can see that is only part of its blessing!) 

Now I am going to appeal to your common sense again: Please contemplate. 

By following this spiritual formula one is giving God full control of their life (note: when you apply this in the streets its far, far higher because its only in the streets that you have the opportunity to experience sufferings, insults, humiliations and risk physical injury at the hands of evil men for the love of Christ, as opposed to following this formula in a controlled environment where there is very limited potential for suffering attached to it. In other words, only in the streets do you have the opportunity to experience being 'Partakers in the Sufferings of Christ!' For this reason I call it the ‘holy-streets!’ For this same reason serving in the streets is the most sacred place to give God full control of your life. Does this not make sense?).

*Since for our sake Jesus suffered so severely on the cross how can we deny Him anything He may ask of us???  Thus, remembrance of the cross is the reason that we say with boldness, “I can do all things in Christ Jesus, who strengthens me.”  But also because of that same cross, if we disobey God concerning anything asked of us that is within our power to deliver to God – our disobedience is a far worse sin than if the crucifixion never occurred !

Because I walked this harder spiritual road God has flooded me with revelation. Since God is ‘no respecter of persons’ if you likewise walk the hard road for His sake you too will become flooded with revelation! I’m thoroughly convinced the reason that Elijah had a school for prophets is because the path to become exceedingly pleasing in God’s sight  can be taught to anyone. . . anyone who is willing to pay the price that our Eternal Father will ask of them (haven’t you discovered that God’s middle name is -  Mr. Test???). Greatness in God’s sight comes with a price tag that few mortals are willing to pay. The Almighty loathes the  famous saying, “Jesus knows my heart”.  Just as Christ demonstrated His love for us on the cross, the Lord expects us to demonstrate our love for Him!

Christians are good at glorifying Christ’s cross of glory. . that is very good.

What the Lord wants to see is our cross of glory.  Perhaps its nothing next to Christ and St. Paul, nevertheless the Almighty One wants to see it!

(Again, do you desire to become – ‘More than a conqueror?’ ) 

{Following this spiritual formula that I have been speaking of helps us ‘LOSE OUR LIFE FOR HIS SAKE’. . .“Those who save their life will lose it, but those who lose their life for His sake will preserve it”}

Whenever one follows this wisdom they are honoring God; when they refuse they are only honoring their own personal whims. I will further illustrate the spiritual power of following these directives through a true story:

The Lord has so many servants working out in His vineyards.  Out of so many field hands, one of the herd is doing something different from the rest that is drawing the Master’s attention. If there is any chance that a directive is coming from the Master, this fellow is not taking any chances and thus fulfilling whatever 'might' 'be being asked of him. As a consequence of this behavior God points to the fellow and says to one of His angels, “That fellow over there honors me more than the others, fetch him and bring him into My very own house so I can get a better look at him!” 

> Friends, I am not saying the following for vanity’s sake, but rather to motivate you to take holy-action. . . That servant who was invited into the Lord’s own house was myself!  Again, if you do the same as I did you will reap the very same blessings because “God is no respecter of persons” plus He has plenty of space in His house!  Again, walking the hard road attracts grace like a magnet! Pew potatoes will never receive such marvelous spiritual blessings.  I never did when I was a member of that club!

Following this spiritual formula will definitely get you out of your comfort zone!  By not following this spiritual formula you are staying in your comfort zone, thereby keeping control of your life, thus stunting your spiritual growth.  Can’t you see that this is true??

For all those zealous souls who are considering utilizing this spiritual street-ministry formula to go all the way with God pleasseeee take more advice from me first, as I have experienced walking this painful, at times dangerous and glorious road. Thus, I know how to glean the most good fruit from walking it.

The two prerequisite books to read would first of course be the Bible (everyone is well familiar with  this one). The second far less famous book is a Christian classic, “The Little Flowers of St. Francis” by Raphael Brown (this book is a perfect compliment to the Bible. Many deep things of God are revealed in this book). The spiritual wisdom contained in the Bible plus this book will  prepare you for whatever the Lord may ask of you. So please be well-versed in both books.

Also, its essential that all disciples who aspire to walk this path live a lifestyle of what Francis of Assisi coined ‘Holy-simplicity’ {a renounced, non-cluttered, no pressing earthly obligations. . . no pressing time-schedule, non-intellectual / thought-free. . .as much as possible. . . lifestyle}. This is because by living a lifestyle of Holy-simplicity its far easier to hear from God because this makes the mind calm (akin to a lake without a ripple in the water). Additionally, when one lives this lifestyle its far easier to win when we are confronted by fiery trials. . On this path one will be very heavily tested. . .  regularly. Only through living a life of ‘Holy-Simplicity’ will one have access to their full inner-strength which is often needed in order  to pass many of these painful, and at times dangerous tests.

Since we know that this sacred lifestyle (which Paul also spoke of) was only taught to the inner circle (not the other Apostles), common sense tells us that there is a good reason for this. Since I have also fully experienced walking this most sacred road (as I have thus far proven), and have experienced the very great spiritual blessing it will reap in ones soul in a very short period of time, I know the reason that this was not taught to the other Apostles. It’s because this is a painful, dangerous, and nerve-wracking walk that most Believers can’t handle. To experience this greatly accelerated spiritual growth you must welcome suffering (all types). God will exalt the humble through prodding them to be courageous, and He will debase the proud by prodding them to humiliate themselves (the knowledge of the humiliations is the reason the Lord desires you to read that Franciscan-Christian book!).

Many of us need to be prodded both ways (I have both hands raised!).

The famous sayings ‘no pain, no gain’ fully applies here! 

*WARNING- COUNT THE COST! If you are not prepared to obey God in whatever He might ask of you, prepared to welcome all types of suffering,  do not attempt to walk this path. As you can see, those who walk this path can no longer hide behind the universally used ‘fig leaf of doubt’ or make any other excuse when the Almighty One calls us to the Mat (And He will. . .  believe it! Why? Because He wants to see “Whose heart is perfect towards Him”.  This is something that we must prove to Him through holy action. . . therefore His  testing is a must!!! (For reasons such as this Paul said, “Its better to remain unmarried”. Since Paul walked this path before I I’m quiet sure that He also tasted this greatly accelerated spiritual growth that I’ve been referring to).

>Note: Its far, far preferable not to hear God’s voice, then to hear His voice and then to disobey Him. . .  Please take the time to ponder this truth. 

Though, if you can handle this path, it is the path of Paul and of the inner circle. . . the path of the cream of the Apostles!! Additionally, this may have been the path of King David because the Almighty said of him, “I have found a man after My own heart, he will do all that I ask of him!”  This is a technique to teach anyone who applies it how hear all that God asks us to do. And without first getting in tune with the Holy Spirit (hearing), how can we have the opportunity  to obey Him in all things? Certainly this is one of the holiest walks ever given unto men!!! I am thoroughly convinced that it is one of the fastest paths ever conceived to become a living Saint (a son of God)!!!! 

*But, this is only part for the way of OUR LIVING MARTYR! There is more to us than even this!!! (but admittedly, this is the finest  part!)

Note: The sole reason that the Lord led me off this most sacred of paths, is because we are in the last days, thus time is running out! God desires not only me to have the great privilege of walking this sacred way, but also a great multitude of other zealous souls worldwide to follow suit! (The only reason that I haven’t already attained Sainthood on account of walking this most sacred way is because my soul is especially darkened by the deeeeepest hate (I’m not an ordinary sinner. . .see doc. 6). Thus, for rage-aholics (real life Darth Vaders) such as myself, it takes far longer than for normal sinners (depending entirely on the degree of inner pollution one has). 

On account of an end-times, worldwide, spiritual revival blue-print that has been entrusted to me (see doc - 1a), by necessity I have been forced off the holy-streets and into the role of being a motivational spiritual writer and promoter. . .as you can see! The Almighty rarely asks any disciple to stunt their spiritual growth. He has only asked this of me because something far holier than even Mother Teresa (becoming an Apostle) is now of the table before us! It’s the creation of a multitude of the Apostles!! And to create these Apostles quicker than it took her to attain her spiritual enlightenment!!! 

*Remember, this essay is only a preview for the way of OUR LIVING MARTYR! There is more to us than even this!!! 

For total comprehension of the way of our Living Martyr its essential for you to first read a couple of other prerequisite documents. So, please take the time to thoroughly read (not skim) the remaining two documents; docs 3 & 4. {Documents 5 and 6 are both optional}. After reading docs. 3 and 4 you will be ready to read doc 7 – the Living Martyr document.

* The Lord desires to do a NEW-THING. . . 

Tell it on the rooftops- this is the prophesized - ‘Latter-Rain Revival!!!’  This is the last great revival that will directly precede the second coming of Christ!!!!!!

God desires this to happen first (but Armageddon will force Him to act!)  

This is a rare opportunity for You, yes You  to do something of huge importance for the Lord’s Kingdom --

-  It will help make the entire world a spiritually tolerant place

-  It will take a huge bite out of terrorism

 - It will motivate people from all faiths to take a close look at the teachings of  Christ.

- AND MOST OF ALL IT WILL MAKE THE LORD EXCEEDINGLY GLAD!

Here is what you can do > Without delay (because we are in the last days and time is short), make a full investigation of this matter that I speak of.
