Worthy of Being
Added to the Bible
by Daniel Rosenblit
Many years ago I heard this phrase preached over the pulpit from
a Church in Connecticut:
“When in doubt
always side with God”
Taking that
spiritual advice to heart and applying it in my life has caused
me to grow in the Lord in leaps and bounds!
All of us humans are pretty much the same; in that we are drawn
to pleasure and resist things that cause us pain (our cross). So
by knowing myself, I know most everyone. I’ve discovered that
when God gives me easy directives or those that I desire to
follow anyways, I hear God’s voice immediately; loud and clear.
On the other hand when the Lord gives me difficult directives,
or those directives involving me paying a heavy or painful
price, I tend to doubt these unpleasant directives. Don’t all of
you do the exact same thing???
Please let me illustrate the reason that following this
spiritual directive is so powerful:
Example: One walks by a porno shop. ‘A feeling from within’
tells you to walk in and share your faith with the fellow who
works in there, and try to save his soul and get him to find a
different job. Since doing this type of witness may illicit an
angry reaction, my guess is most of us will doubt that the
urging came from God. Our doubt becomes our excuse not to do it.
Then unless the Lord resurfaces it repeatedly, we will never to
do! (Often God will only say it once).
Nearly
everyone in the Church is using this same sly technique to deny
the cross that the Lord is giving to each of us (hiding behind
our doubts)! Indeed, this fig leaf is gigantic! All of
us have been picking and choosing when we obey the voice of the
Lord and when we chose not to. Sadly, from God’s point of view
the vast majority of the Church must surely be a great
disappointment!
Following the
wisdom: When in doubt always side
with God
means that if you feel the inner prompting you first ask
yourself the question, “Might God ask me to do such a thing?” If
the answer to that question is yes, then you assume it was God;
and obey! By following this directive I was no longer able to
hide behind my doubts from obeying unpleasant directives of God.
By following this directive I was confronted with my cross, and
repeatedly. Whereas by adhering to the old familiar way, I was
able to hide from God when obeying His voice was painful.
Now I am going
to appeal to your common sense:
When one follows this directive they are giving God
control of their life, and by not following this directive they
are in control of their life; can’t you see that???
{Following this directive is an important aspect of ‘LOSING
YOUR LIFE FOR HIS SAKE’. . . Those who save their life will lose
it, and those who lose their life for His sake will preserve it}
Whenever one follows this directive they are honoring God; when
they don’t they are honoring themselves. I will further
illustrate the spiritual power of following this directive
through a true story:
God has so many servants out working in His vineyards.
Out of so
many field hands one of the herd is doing something that is
getting His attention. If there is a slightest chance that a
directive is coming from Heaven, this fellow is not taking any
chances and thus fulfilling whatever might be being asked of
him.
As a consequence of this behavior God says to one of His angels,
“That fellow over there honors me more than the others, fetch
him and bring him into my own house so I can get a better look
at him!”
. . . Friends, that is actually what has happened to me!!
As you can see, this directive is so holy it ought to be in the
Bible! Can’t you see that?
God wants me sharing this and other crucial matters with the
Church. Matters that are so important that He wants them
discussed on the 700 club or the like. . . before the entire
body.
P.S. - In 1978 I became fatally ill, died, and experienced a
Judgment Day Experience.
I was with the Lord and tutored by Him for an afternoon! Then
the Lord allowed me to live again (I wrote an essay on detailing
this experience which is available upon request. Every part of
this experience is backed-up by the authority of scripture
verses to prove to all that the experience was authentic).
Therefore, I say with great humility that I been taught
spirituality by the hand of the Lord, just as the Apostles.
Thus, my wisdom is greater than the herd of Pastors and
Theologians!
Sincerely, Daniel Rosenblit
