My Hospital Experience (6/9/04 - 6/12/04)
Staph is a very painful infection that's very common but is getting harder to treat. It all started when I noticed a sore spot in my nose that turned into staph. So my mom took me to Dr. Mellin about it. She took one look at my nose and gave us some very disturbing news... It could easily travel to my brain and cause bad things &/or ! She sent us to a hospital that night. My mom, dad, and I packed up and went to Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge.

After Surgery
Through my few days there, I was treated very well because my family knows Dr. Ron, the big guy on the Hospital Board... :) Soo, we met a lot of the important doctors & i had some extra privileges. lol But that didn't help the pain in my nose. And yes I was put to sleep for about 2 hours for the drainage & stitches. I didnt get much sleep from the nurses coming in every couple of hours. But thankfully, through support and prayers of all my family and friends, i made it!!
