Band Biography

No It All is a hard rock group consisting of a drummer, a bassist, a guitarist/vocalist, and a vocalist. They have a sound that is intensely unique, and a tone of somber anger. With influences ranging from Helmet, to Metallica and Megadeth, to Downset, to early Korn and Deftones, these young men create music with a hard beat that keeps you moving. They formed in August of 2002 and have been playing local parties since December ’02. In February of ’03 they recorded their Demo entitled Therapy Session. The CD includes three songs, Has to Be, Therapy, and Despise, and it has been noted that once you hear it, you won’t want to take it out of your CD player. They’ve gathered an impressive following and now they’re ready to take the stage at clubs and bars.

With all the crap on the radio these days, it’s not too often that you hear a band that’s in it for the music and the fans, not the money. No It All gets together twice a week for a few hours at a time and has what they refer to as a therapy session. They play their respective instruments with passion and make music that exhibits their problems, frustrations, confusion, and anger. When the practice is over and the basement is being re-assembled into the living quarters of Ethan Kurtz (Bassist) and family, the band feels better about whatever troubles had been bothering them. "For me it’s a kind of scream therapy," says vocalist Joaquim (Jack) Mota, "somehow yelling into the mic and jumping around gets all the anger out. The anger actually makes the music better; the more pissed off I am the better I perform. But no matter how shitty I’m feeling when I go in, I always leave feeling a little better."

Currently No It All is in the process of writing more songs for a full-length album they hope to put out by 2004. They are also brainstorming for ideas to use in their first music video which they’ll begin shooting early this summer.

Signing to a label is high on their list of priorities and they are doing every thing they can to get recognized by the music industry. They always stock their pockets full of demos when they go to see concerts so they can distribute them among the crowd. After the show they hang around with hopes of meeting the band and when they do, they have their demo ready.

No It All is one of the tightest, most talented hard rock bands to have formed in the past few years. Every song they write is better than the one that came before it. The ones that they have kick ass already, and in no time No It All is going to make a huge impression on the hard rock music scene.
