Shihan Larry F. Giordano is and has been the Chief Karate instructor of the Methuen Karate Association since 1968 which presently has 300 students of all gender and age as young as 4 years old, and currently has 5 associate schools.

Shihan began his formal training in 1963 while stationed in Germany during Military service with Sensei Norbit Faye. In 1970, he began to train under Sensei Stephen Sonne abd obtained his Black Belt.

N.E.K.K.O has promoted 43 Black belts, 6 of them going on to open their own schools.In 1991, a Dojo opened in Puerto Rico, then Lawrence, New Hampshire, Maine, and a Dojo was also opened in Arizona in 1976, all of these Dojos were opened by Shihan's Black belts.

Shihan was a police officer for Methuen for 14 years (1972-1986) as a K-9 Officer, and a member of the Tactical Division.

For 2 1/2 years, Shihan was the Massachusetts Commisioner forthe Department of Public Safety. In 1996, he retired from duty with 22 years of police expieience, and now teaches full time, and now travels to student schools, to let them know whats up!

I have been associated with Shihan since I was 9 years old, I am now 16 and he has benn like a second father to me every minute of that time, and I would be lost without Shihan. OUS!
