It Was the Perfect Day, For Some!
It was the perfect day for some, the time of day when the sun is near sunset.
It was that sort of a hazy day, not too dry, but yet not too wet.
A girl was on the peak of a grassy cliff, where she could look over the edge,
She looked around at an assortment of flowers and then again looked over the ledge.
She stared below at the deep blue sea, as she contemplated what she would next do,
She determined it was her life that no one could renew.
She wondered how on such a beautiful and lovely day,
How she could be going through such gloominess and her life could be in such array.
How her life could be overflowing with so much anger and strife,
That it would cause her to want to rob her of her life.
A life that she had been told was so precious and so dear.
If it were those things, like she was told, then why was she always full of fear.
She was filled with so many dreadful feelings,
With the kind of feelings that only the devil brings.
For years now, She had been filled with feelings of being a disappointment.
What she really wanted was the love and comfort she knew God had sent
But for some reason, she couldn't accept His gift of love,
So she gave up and decided she would never get the love sent from above.
She said, "If I died right now, no one would miss me."
And so she decided it was God she would now finally see.
So, she made her last and final decision, And she took one more look at the golden sun.
So, unwaveringly she took a step and fell forward.
As she fell, she wondered if others would think she was absurd.
She hit the sea with force that was very hard,
And her last thought was, "Could I have been Jesus' bard?"
