Part Three, Act Two

" Jarre hah. " Mitsukai mumbled. She felt stiff from her neck down, and not a feeling in her body could tell her what she was laying on. Her head felt a soft surface, but her body could not. The only thing she could see was blackness, the world beyond within her mind.

" Shh...Mirre Ku, chiske, Mirre Ku. " A woman's voice calmed her mind for a brief moment...perhaps the same woman who had taken both her and the King from the forest.
"shh, rest in peace, child, rest in peace..."

Taru woke, springing from the bed he lay. All of his wounds were some how healed, and his unconsciousness had withered in its sleep.
" Where am..." Taru looked at his hands, then his legs after pulling them from under the covers, " ...I?" He could not explain what happened to him nor what happened to...
" Hello? Is any one here? Hello? " Taru stood from his bed, throwing the sheets off to the side. He looked to the right of him where a large oak chair stood, with a long black, silk robe lay hanging over it's back. He took it and wrapped it around him tightly, unaware of what or who was behind all of this.

" Hello? " Taru took a step near the oddly shaped door. The room was quite different from those in his empire. The walls were of a light crystal, but nothing could be seen beyond them. The door itself was a dark glass material, and it too could not reveal what was behind it. The door was shaped into an oval, the bottom being flat to open with ease. Taru stepped forward his hand reaching out to open the door, but before he could turn it, the knob slowly turned on its own.

Taru stepped back as the door slowly opened and a tall blue haired woman stepped through. She wore a long white robe over a silver top that flared from her collar bone and around her breast line to her navel. Under the flare top was a short skirt hidden under lace that came down in a lather of frills down to her back heels over long laced light blue boots. She closed her robe closed and bowed slowly to Taru, her short hair falling to her face as she did so. She rose slowly, to stare at him with her deep blue eyes and tilted her head.

" Tsking Taru, ve velcome hu her', tu owr citi of Ivev mor Nai. " The woman smiled, spreading from ear to ear as she opened the door, revealing a large spread-out balcony. The floor was a marble rose color and the ledge was a silver-gray colored marble with fine glass. Taru slowly walked out the door and onto the balcony to see the city's outer limits. And it was breath-taking.

The sky was a light pink with blue cascading over its horizon, dawn was breaking through the sky and it was fascinating to see over the crystal towers that were built along a fine river. The river cascaded down hill from a large waterfall that streamed between his own tower and anothers'. There were blue, pink, white and red roses along the greens and near the edges of the towers. Pathways were streamed with crystals the shimmered in the light and it seemed as if the city itself was covered in a vast silk. Taru turned back to the woman and she bowed again.

" Come zis way ur majisty. " She rose once more and began to walk down a pair of glass stairs on the left hand side of the balcony, and Taru reluctantly followed her.

He had to hurry to keep his pace up with the woman, and that is when he noticed her ears. They were long and pointy at the ends, she was that of an Elf Kin. Of course, this was Ivev mor Nai. And he was only welcome here because his rule back in his empire had steared complications from their city, giving them no worries of war or any means of threat. And this was only one of his many advantages.

" Where are you taking me? And what is your name? " Taru walked faster, his robe flapping in the sweet Ivev breeze, taking away the torn look of his uniform from the day before.

" Hurry ur majisty. " She turned a corner at a vast speed and Taru felt as if he was now running to keep up with her long stride.
" Tell me where you are taking me! " Taru lost his patience when he finished rounding the corner and the woman was at a complete stop, almost knocking right into her. She stepped back immediatly to avoid collision with the King and abruptly held another glass door open. Taru looked from the door to the woman and she smiled urging him forth.

Taru sighed and walked into the room to find a small light auburn blonde girl lying in the bed. She wore a dark velvet green dress and lay in a perfect line on the bed. Taru stepped over a light green cloak on the floor to near her, and found that it was his assasin. He felt rage flood his veins but it went to ease as she looked up at him with her light green eyes and smiled.
" You saved my life. " She whispered.

It was with that instant that all anger, every thread of hate had left his body...and confusion for another feeling took its place.
" What did you say? " His light brown hair fell into his blue eyes as he neared her, his face dark under the shadows.
" Thank you, for saving my life..." She whispered again.
The King sat next to her. She was thanking him... no one...ever thanked him... for anything... was this gratitude? Or...what was this feeling? Taru took her hands in his and nodded, " Are you okay? " He felt no remorse for her injury, but there was still that feeling, perhaps it was gratitude, for being appreciated...
" I can't feel my body." The girl did not look down at her legs nor did she continue to look into the King's eyes, she merely closed them and sighed.
" I am useless." She did not cry, but she whimpered. The King shook his head and gathered her in his arms, "You're coming with me. " He said as he carried her out of the room. The girl nodded, and layed her head against his chest,
" Forgive me..."

Akuhei let her hair down fully, letting it fall over her halter top dress that came down to her theighs under silk that fell down from her waist in the front to her feet and the same in the back, almost as if they were covering her like flaps. She wore a soft pair of silk tied slippers and ribbons laced around her arms and legs. She was in her battle uniform! Not much of a soldier's uniform, but it was hers and she was proud of it. She leaned against the hilt of her sword as she patiently waited for her Farren to exist from her tent. They would soon begin their attack, and Akuhei was more than ready for it.
