Rocky Mountain Raceways runs the Junior Dragster program on Street Legal nights. On certain Friday night races, the racers who advanced to the semi's were invited to participate in specific Major Saturday races.
Junior Dragsters are made specially for kids 8-17. They race half-scale dragsters in the 1/8th mile. They start out with 5-horsepower Briggs & Stratton engines, and step up to bigger, faster engines as they get older. The racers race for points earned for every round win, to crown three seperate Champions at the season end Awards Banquet. The points were EXTREMELY close in all 3 classes in 2004. It came down to the final race to decide the top-3 in every class.
