Jeana News 4/1/03-Today at 3:28 AM, Jeana LeeAnn was born! She was a true April Fool's baby, being 8 lbs and 5 oz, after all my doctors said she wouldn't be much over 6 pounds! She's a very healthy girl and recieved APGAR scores of 8/9! She's not a red-head though, as you can tell from the pictures, but James isn't *too* disappointed. :) 3/30/03- A sweet baby girl was born today!! No, Jeana's not here yet (although, I'm *one* day past my E.D.D.) but, my best friend, Jessica, had her baby today! Her name is Alexia Jeanale. Jessica, and husband Jeremy are very excited. Alexia, aka Allie, was 7 pounds, 4 ounces, and 19 1/2 inches long. She's a very beautiful baby. Now, Jeana just needs to get here, so we can introduce them! 3/28/03- Hmmm...Still pregnant. :( I was only 1.5 dialated this time, but 75% effaced. My CNM told me that sometimes with the first baby, you have to be fully effaced before you really start dialating. The good news was, if I don't have this baby by Wednesday, then they will begin to induce me for labor. She said definately by this weekend, we will have a baby. :) I cannot wait!! 3/21/03- Well, we made it to this doctor visit. I was hoping to have Jeana by now. But, all went well. My tests came back okay, it was just a kidney infection and it's all cleared up now. That's really good. Also, I found out I am 1 cm dialated! Woo-hoo! We're on our way now. My next doctor's visit is one day before my E.D.D. so, I wonder if I'll make it until then? James and I added more to the nursery. We got a bookcase matching the rest of her furniture. Now all we need's a small chest-of-drawers and we'll be set. James got a cute idea to decorate her closet door with fabric. We chose a blue-green-purple-sparkley fabric with stars all over it. I'll post pictures of it up, definately. It matches her room. Then, we got a light purple lace to tie back the sheer-white curtains with. So, come on by and take a look, because I am sure that pictures won't do this room justice. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ 3/14/03- Went to the doctor's again today. Jeana is "in position" and ready to be born. The CNM seemed a little surprised at how low Jeana was sitting. She said that I could go into labor any time this weekend or next week!! That was exciting to hear! But then there was bad news. They found traces of blood in my urine, and since I've been having these horrible back pains, they think it might be a kidney infection. But, they started me on antibiodics immediately and hopefully, it will not have affected Jeana.
