“Where then are the gods you made for yourselves? Let them come if they can save you when you are in trouble!” Jeremiah 2:28

In this verse, God is telling Israel that if their gods are so great then they should allow them to save Israel when she’s in trouble. Time and time again Israel would go through trials but their idols, their gods, wouldn’t help them. Each time, they would return to God but once the trial/hardship was over, they returned to their own Gods.

Sometimes we are like Israel. We have our moments when we question God and lose trust in him, but during those hard times, we run back to God. Israel had done this, kings have, countries have, and ourselves. There are times I wonder why God doesn’t tire of it and just leave us. But he doesn’t, he’s always there.

This verse reminded me that I need to stay with God and not question Him or lose even a little faith. God has the patients for the times I do, but that’s not excuse for me. I must use what time God has given me on Earth, I can’t go back to yesterday to change something and tomorrow will never come. The same goes with you. We don’t have time to say, “Tomorrow I’ll do that.” Have you ever thought of that expression? I mean, seriously, how often does tomorrow come? Never!!! It will never be tomorrow; we have today so we must use it. We also don’t have time to slack off in our faith. We have a world of sin, hate, and lost ppl. We need to get off our butts and fight!!!
