Prayer is one of the greatest things us Christians can do for one another. It is important to pray for those that are both close and far from us. Sometimes it is done hand in hand with other believers but sometimes it is done alone.
There are many that need our prayers and I have not realized it until now. I always prayed for my friends and family but that was usually as far as my prayers went. I have now decided to extend my prayers and hope that you do so too.
We must pray for the nonbelievers that they will see the light. We must prayer for our military that is defending our country. The government needs prayer that they'll make wise decisions. We need to pray that our friends and family will find strength and that they may be blessed. But we also need to keep in our prayers the other countries. Just because we are against Iraq, this is no excuse to use for not praying for them.
Of all this praying we mustn't forget to pray for ourselves. We are fighting many battles, some different then others. For some of you, it may be physical (like a disease or sickness), for others it may be metal (stress, depression), and for many of us, Spiritual. There are so many battles being fought right now, not just the one defending our country. So please, during your praying, do not forget to ask God to send you strength, encouragement, the Fruit of the Spirit, healing or anything else.
It is important to not only stand strong for the U.S. but for Christ. As Christians, we have a bond between us that mustn't be broken. Don't allow others to drag you down, turn to God and to your fellow believes and ask for help. We are here for each other and God is here for us.
