The primary responsibility of an officer is to serve as a role model. Officers are expected to conduct them selves with honor at all times, be examplary in their behaviour and to uphold the guild charter/Code of conduct.

The rank of officer carrys with it responsibilitys. Officers should be available to members with problems. These may vary from simple questions to a corpse run or guideing them out through a new zone. where ever resonable and appropriate, an Officer should aim to help all members in need.

An Officer's duty is always to the guild.

Officers should back each other up and not openly contradict a decision taken by a fellow Officer.

It is the duty of the officers to ensure that members know and follow all the Guild rules. If it is felt that a member is in breach of the guild rules, the Officer will initially draw the member's attension to the rule in question, in the case of minor infringements.

There must be a small group of officers that the leader can trust to act in his stead this group will be limited to 6 member no more. These people should have just about all the power of the leader. However officers can not remove another member without the leaders permission.

Officers are expected to handle quarrels between guild members (Explained below).

Officers are expected to bring any breaches of the Guild Laws to the attantion of the Guild Leader.

Arbitation

Officers are expected to act as an arbitator between two people. As an officer, if you are put in this situation; do not make assumptions; Lisen to both sides of the story. After hearing both sides, decide how the matter can be resolved. If the dispute is between two guild members then lisen to both sides, and inform the guild leader.

It should be noted that an officers decision is final. If the dispute is between a guild member and a non-guild member, and the guild member is determined to have been in the wrong, then the officer will instruct the guild member to make specific reparations (I.E, give back the item/camp or pay 100pp to the guild bank).

If the dispute is between a guild member and a non-guild member, and the non-guild member is determined to have been in the wrong and does not agree to a resolution, then a GM will be contacted if necessary, or the leader of the offending persons guild will be notified.
