To be a member of Guardians of Might and Magic means to value honor and friendship, Our main goal is to have a good time playing with people we can trust and respect. All members of Guardians of Might and Magic have pledged to treat each other, and evryone else in Norrath with respect. General Behavior 1) Guild members MUST be treated with respect bad mouthing them in public or in Guild chat is not acceptable. Disagreements Evryone disagrees with someone at one time or another. It's how you handle it that really matters. Issues that arise between players, which are of a personal nature, should be kept between the two players, thay should attempt to resolve them. Personal arguments are not to be taken to Guild Chat. If the issue stems from one guild member observing another guild member acting against this Code of Conduct, take your concerns to the guild leader. No guild member should confront another guild member on such issues. If you suspect a guild member of behavior that goes against this Code of Conduct, simply turn your log on, take screen shots and send them to the guild leader.
Abuse Don't attack other guild members or non guild members. Don't interfere with there game play. If someone is bothering you, ignore them. If it comes to our attention that a guild member is verbally abuseing someone, guild or non guild, thay may have to suffer some disciplinary action. Other forms of abuse, Harassing other players, Kill Stealing (Read below), Ninja Looting, Deliberatly training other players (Read below). These types of abuse will not be tolerated. Training Training is the act of running around to gathering mob for the sole purpose of alowing the mobs to trample os kill another player. Don't do it on purpose. Anyone found training others with the intent to cuase them to die, will be subject to diciplinary actions. Of cuase sometimes accidents happen and a train is unavoidable in this case a warning MUST be sent out to all who could be in the trains path (I.E - /shout TRAIN TO ZONE ) it help to make a hotkey saying that cuase it is hard to type when running to save your own life. Kill Stealing Kill Stealing is the act of killing another players target after that player has agro, for the purpose of stealing exp and loot. This will NOT be tolerated. Reports of our members kill stealing will be investigated on a case by case basis. If any member recives consistant reports of them kill stealing, thay will be subject to disiplinary actions. Camps While Sony doesn't officially recognize camps or camping, Guardians of Might and Magic does. If you arrive at a camp to find it taken, Contact the party there and ask about the possibility of either sharing it or waiting till thay leave. If no compromise can be reached , move on and do something else. If you are camping something specific and another party comes along, the possability of saring it or haveing them wait till you are done is up to you. What ever you decide, you should be respectful to the other party. Helping Member Do your best to help other members in an emergancy. Acording to our own abilities and resourses, we should never hesitate to come to the aid of other members who need help with corpse recovery, resurrections, or just getting out of a dangerous zone or situation, Unless reduring such assistance would mean leaveing a group and putting others in danger. Helping Others common sence would tell you that helping other is a good show of our guild and its members, Whether you just run around newbie zones buffing them, or save them from certain death, we like to see this in our guild members. Guild Chat The main Guild Chat language will be Elvish at all times if you do not know Elvish you MUST learn it you can ask anyone in the guild to teach you Elvish (But dont beg). The tone of guild chat should remain freindly, Guild Chat is open for just about anything you want to talk about, with the exception of the following. Members should keep Guild Chat active at all times. Requests for help are legitimate, and members are asked to do all thay can. BUT if there is no replay in guild chat to a help request and you feel you are in real need, you may sent a direct tell to an officer or the leader. In some area guild chat may be unreadable. if someone dosent respond there may be a reson for it. We are not trying to ignore you but it may be impossable to read that chat becuase of fighting or from being AFK (Away From keyboard) in those cases we will not always respond. Messege Boards/Forum Guardians of Might and Magic will have a messege board/forum for allmembers to post on. The messege board/forum is for the passing on of ideas/suggestions other information and fun. it is not a place to attack each other if you have issues with another guild member. Alternate Characters On Firiona Vie you can only have one character but many people have multiple accounts with characters on Firiona Vie these characters are alowed to join the guild but we musg know who thay are and who your main characters in the guild are. If you have characters thay you dont want in the guild you do not have to have them join or even tell us about them, some guilds make you disclose all the names of members alt characters, we do not. I feel that to be your own buissness and not the buissness of this guild, Unless you use that alt to cuase truble for the guild. Looting System
I WILL NOT tolerate greediness, loot whores, selfish individuals. All loot will be distributed on a NBG basis (Need Before Greed). Be graceful about loot distribution on raids and accept the raid leader's decision on who gets what. If you are not sure about how a raid looting is handled in a givein raid, be sure to ask begore you go. Guild Raids
Approach raids with a positive attitude you are helping the guild achieve its objectives. Relax and take the oppotunity during downtimes to socialize with your fellow Guild mates. Problesm may arise if two Guilds turn up for the same raid cuasing a conflict of interest. It is the responsibility of the raid leader to represent the best interest of our guild and alliances to negotiate a solution with the other raid leader. Raid Planing
Any member may plan and lead a raid. Please seek the cooperation of any officers if you require any assistance. Typically raids should be planned well in adcance. A raid should have clearly defined abjectives with strategies devised or borrowed to achive them. Raid Attendance
Attendance at any Guild Event is strictly voluntary. All members are encouraged to attand any guild event if thay possess both an interest and time necessary to make the commitment. Attendees are expected to abide by the rules associated with that event and this Code of Conduct also to demonstrate a commitment to help the raid succeed and meet its goal. The event leader or an appointed person will form the various groups and appoint group leaders. it is the resonsibility of an event leader at the begining of the raid to briefly outline the raid strategy and rules to those in attendance. The attendees of the raid are expected to follow the instructions of the raid leader or persons appointed to act in the leader's authority (Guild Officers). Failure to do so can seriously jeopardize the raid. Diciplinary Actions
Members who Fail to uphold this Code of Conduct will face diciplinary actions including, but not limited to: Teleportation (port or translocation) will generally be available to those expelled from a group/raid to allow them to return to a safe point. Power Leveling
A good and successfull player learns how to level themselves, what to fight, when to fight, when to run, when to play solo, and when to find a group to be with. Im not saying Power Leveling is against the rules. I am saying that broadcasting such a request is frowned apon it borders beging. What is resonable to ask, is where's a good place to hunt at your level and get any recomendations of what's worked well for other members at that level and tips from someone higher and of your class. We have many high levels who will Power Level a lower level (If thay ask once nicely) continued Guild Chat spaming for a Power Level will not be tolerated. Suporting the Guild
All members are expected to help suport the guild by Donateing old items and money to the Guild Bank the leader is the Guild Bank. (for more info on the Guild Bank see the guild bank page). The End
Well thats it for our Guild Charter/Code of Conduct i know this is very long winded and time consumeing to read but it is the basic common sence rules & EverQuest Courtesies. The Guild leader will lisen to suggestions to improve the rules, However the Guild leader has final say on any and all changes to be made. |
