PLAYER STRATEGY - DRUID
KITING THE BIG ONES - Rianne, The Nameless
Here's a strategy for 35+ that works great for taking Giants and Griffs with zero down time. Even to red it's all good. Summon yourself a pet (/shout Druid looking for 30+ tank for Hill Giants! Track one down, snare it, and immolate. The mob will hate you now, and will chase you across the zone while your pet whacks it in the back (turn his taunts off). Recast immolate when it expires for the debuff and the taunt, the damage is just a bonus. The trick is to run just far enough ahead that you can med, but not so far that the mob forgets you and turns on your pet. If you time it right you can run for 4 secs, and be medding when the tick happens and your mana increases. When the mob stops moving at the last bub of life you just med through and will be near full mana by the time your tank is done. Wolf form is also important to avoid that kitty aggro while you med. To do this well you need to be 35+ so you can med without staring at the spell book. It's too hard to judge the proper distance before then. When you misjudge, lifebars plummet quickly, and it's tough to get a heal off with HG between you and wounded tank. This strategy works great with one or more tanks, and most other classes have skills that can match. Pet classes have a built in tank for you, Enchanters and shamans can speed up tanks and debuff. Mages also have fire resist debuff, useful for that highly resisted immolate. I can't see any way that a cleric or wizard would be of any use, and a second druid is redundant. You're not using up your mana anyway.
