Overview

The Lost Dungeons of Norrath expansion brings back to EverQuest the smaller group feel of gameplay.  This isn't an expansion about 50+ character raids, rather it gets back tobasics by encourgaing 6 man groups to perform challenging, but fun, dungeon crawls.  There have been events before which had timers, but the timers were never visible.  In LDON, your party has a very specific and visible time limit in which to complete the specific objective.  There are a number of different adventures you can do in five different locations.  Based on your success in these adventures you earn points with which you can purchase new spells or items to enhance your character.

Getting Started

Once you have purchased the LDON expansion and activated your account  you will notice a new message when you first login.  The message advises you to return to your home city, Raathe Mountains or West Karana in order to speak to someone from the Wayfarer Brotherhood.

The Wayfarer Brotherhood is scattered around the old world in two forms: individual NPC's who 'flag' your character to be LDON enabled, or Wayfarer Camps where you can actually participate in LDON adventures.

Return to the city you first started you character in (i.e. Neriak, Freeport, Erudin, etc) or to West Karana or the Raathe Mountains.  When you enter the zone you will receive a message telling you where you can find the NPC you need to speak with.  It will normally be the name of a building, so you may need to look around if you aren't fully familiar with the city until you find the one you are told.  Once you find the NPC you will need to go through a series of conversations.   Simply go through the conversation and respond with the words in brackets [such as this].

Once you have completed this you will be told to seek out an adventurer camp.

Wayfarer Brotherhood Camps

Adventurer camps are found in the following locations:

East Commonlands -1600, -150: In Tunnel near the Shady Swashbuckler.
Butcherblock Mountains -1125, -2475: Near the Greater Faydark Zoneline
Northern Desert of Ro +2700, +900: North-East of the Tunnel from East Commonlands
Souther Desert of Ro -1450, +1050: North-West of the Druid Circle
Everfrost Peaks +1850, -5050: In the 'Y' where the rivers split.

Once you arrive at your given camp you will need to first locate the leader of the camp.  This NPC has no special title such as (Raid Recruiter).  When you Hail them they will tell you that you need to answer some questions in order to be admitted into the Wayfarer Brotherhood.  You find the answers to all your questions in your NPC journal from the conversation you had with the NPC back in your home town.

Once you have given the correct responses you will be given an Adventurers Stone.  You should not ever destroy this stone.  It is essential the stone be in your inventory or equipped on your character in order to enter a LDON adventure dungeon or interact with certain LDON NPC's.

With this complete you are now ready to explore the LDON camp.  There are a number of NPC's who you interact with in order to partake in the LDON expansion.  Here's a summary:

Magus Teleports you to any other Wayfarer Brotherhood Camp (see below).
Soulbinders Allows characters to set a new bind point.
Adventure Reward Merchant Purchase spells or items off these NPC's with your adventure points.
Adventure Recruiter Hail these to generate adventures for 4 - 6 people.
Raid Recruiters Hail these to generate adventures for 18 - 36 people.
