Enigma Racing Welcome to Enigma Racing
Enigma Racing is a car club ranging from the most decked out ricers, to the insanely lowered pimp-mobiles, and even reaching the amazingly reputable rural hick automobiles.  Finally car enthusiasts in the northern Illinois area have a home.  We at Enigma Racing are an exclusive club of the younger generation of car collectors who have a democratic ideal where everyone has equal say in what we do for events, prizes, competitions, and deciding on who should or shouldn't be allowed to join the club.  Our goal is to create a strong tie with the surrounding communities to provide an exciting new way for younger people to have a remembering experience.

June 14th, 2003- Check it out bro, Bling Bling!
Its ungodly HOT, Chris won't shut up about Genoa days, and John is going through puberty. He's going through all these wierd mood changes and I personally CAN'T TAKE IT! I'm gonna throw his ricer ass out the door with a swift kick to the rectum. Anyway, as for the car show:

I must say it was a complete success! The first car to show up was a '67 Pontiac Grand Prix, which amazed me because the show was advertized as a "Next Generation" car show. But I didn't mind because you can never get enough of the old classics. The Pontiac was followed by a group of 40's coupes which had some real style. Once the rest of the Enigma Racing club showed up a whole group of imports from Elgin. At first I was a little skeptical because at the last car show some imports from out of town showed up and were arrogant little punks. But I let that go and decided to go talk to them and wouldn't you know, they were the nicest group of car enthusiests near my age that I've met in a LONG time. Once the exhaust and stereo competition started, some of the older adults left in discuss in their 40's coupes. Meh, the show wasn't really geared towards them anyway so no big loss. In the end the winners were as followed:

Stereo: John Leahy in his 2000 Hyundai Elantra
Engine: One of the Elgin entry's late model Honda Civic Si Hatchback
Interior: A woman with her 30th Annaversery Trans Am
Exterior: One of the Elgin entry's 2003 Corvette Z06
Exhaust: Early 70's C-10 Chevy Pickup

Finally, the "Most Impressive Import" award went to the Honda Civic Hatchback who also won the engine award. So that's that for now.

January 8th, 2003- Hibernation
Yes I'm still here and if you have any doubts, don't worry the club is still kicking strong. I've just been letting the club lay low for the time being because it makes little sence to have events in the freezing snow. Now as for the upcoming spring time I've got some ideas in mind.

First off allow me to update you all on what has been going on with other members. Hopper is dropping a true Mopar 340 into the Duster that will decimate and if you thing otherwise you will see this Mopar lovers fist! Pulley installed some very sexy looking ground effects on the Beretta that give it that extra, "I'm gonna mess you up." styling. Last I heard Salinas treated himself to a new box that sounds amazing. Leahy is going decal crazy with Hyundai stickers and has been enjoying his new snow tires. Me personally am in a MSD frenzy upgrading my ignition system with coils and possibly interface modules as well as the DIS-4 ignition system. Time to move on to upcoming events:

I'm working with Lovro on getting Auto Meter to sponser the car shows and maybe the club, we'll see. I've also been told we got four members that want white banner decals, so just send the money on over and ye shall receive. Once I order the new banners I will discuss getting Decal Works as a sponser as well (they make our banners). I also am going to attempt at getting Genoa Auto Body on our side as well. Shouldn't be too difficult. The first car show will be either May or June, I'm not sure yet because I have to find out when school gets out for me and the rest of the members. The car shows will most likly keep the name "Amateur Freaks Unleashed". The annual show, September 7th, will be special though. Maybe Byron?

Well that sums it up for now. Take care and try to keep those autos salt free.

November 10th, 2002- What Now?

Mmmmm....Vudka iz mee fwend!

John was so proud of his new system setup, but he really should have laid off the booze. In this picture I just finished wiring some amps in the back seat and when I got out to see what John was doing I saw that he was stumbling around with a bottle of Vodka screaming something about, "Ricerz suck my hairy left nut!". I reasured him that he was putting himself down and decided to cheer him up by forcing him to pose half conscience in front of his car. Oh well, he's a silly boy!

Oh in other news, I ordered a new chip for the Bonnie which will be here early this week. This one will improve my performance even MORE plus it will remove the speed limiter... mmmmm, FUN! :-)
P.S. Meetings are still Sunday nights at 7pm at Salinas' even if you are not informed.

November 5th, 2002- Changes
You may or may not have noticed, but I'm slowly learning Photoshop (kudos to John) so many of the images will be altured to give them a more professional look, plus I have some more up to date pictures of my car in my page so give them a look. I will be adding an image and video gallery ASAP for everyone to enjoy. John Leahy's car page will be posted soon as well. Also, many of you need to send me some pics of your cars because I have NONE! Take care...
