Once you start out, it's always good to create all four of you pets because for each pet, you can get 50np!Then you can open up a bank account and get 30np. It's always good to start a shop. With half of the neopoints that you earn from games you can use in your shop. The other half can go into your bank account. This way,you save neopoints over time and before you know it, you'll be rich. You can always go to the Money Tree to get free stuff and the Soup Faerie for free food. (However, you have to have under 2,000np to go the Soup Faerie!)From there on, you can go to places like Coltzan's Shrine, Fruit Machine, Tombola, and others just to get free stuff. Then, you can sell those things for nps when you didn't even have to pay for them! Just follow these tips and you'll be on your way:)
More Tips: If you go to the Wheel of Excitement exactly on the hour, there is a 90% chance that you will win 10,000np! (I don't know if this is true, though!) Snowager times are: 6:00am-7:00am 2:00pm-3:00pm 10:00pm-11:00pm

Don't do the Earth Faerie's quests. She usually asks for really expensive stuff and all she does in return is feed your pets!
If your pet's hurt, then go to the Healing Springs! She heals your pets for free whether or not their hurt! Most of the time, if your pet isn't hurt, she'll give you free healing potions! You can then sell these to make np!
The best way to get trophies is to play cheat or snow wars. I got trophies from cheat and a medal from snow wars!
