Introduction

The 6th month of 2000 marked our first day of college classes in the University of the Philippines Visayas Cebu College. We still have our own circle of friends back then. We were still adjusting to college life, still trying to get used to the sights and sounds of the campus grounds (whether pleasant or nasty) and still... still figuring out why the undergraduate building is still called "new building" up to today.

Then came a chance for us to attend a meeting solely for the BM-HRM students of UPVCC with our adviser, Professor Teresita Rodriguez, (and somebody of high rank from UPV). And through that meeting, we found out how few we were all in all from 1st year to 4th year (not to mention the Superseniors too) students, more or less 25 students in all. And the meeting? It was about what to do in order not to "freeze" the BBM-HRM program of UPVCC due to a low number enrollees every year (our batch originally contained only 11 students).

Unfortunately, the freezing of the course was pushed through by 1st Semester, A.Y. 2001-2002. By that time, we were already 2nd year students (Sophomores). Then, that makes us the last batch of students who were originally enrolled in BM-HRM from the very beginning we step foot on the college campus.

Although two of our batchmates had parted and made a new start in another campus, they would still be one of us. As the months pass by, we, the remaining 9 students, got the chance to know more about each other... learning one another's abilities and capabilities, tolerating each others pleasant as well as unpleasant, weird or extra-weird habits and mannerisms, sharing experiences and points of views.

We must admit, we all have different personalities (some might even conflict with another) but through understanding and patience (as in lots of it!) and as well as humor (this, we really really have in excess), we still have kept the bonds of friendship even stronger through the months.
