A Plus Transportation of Tumwater, Washington was established in 1996. Our parent company, Central Washington Sales, Inc. was established in 1981. Between 1981 and 1996, Central Washington Sales was a leading produce brokerage firm based in Yakima, Washington. During this time, Central Washington Sales earned and maintained a Trading Membership with the Blue Book, and a Business Character Award with the Red Book.
As a produce brokerage firm, Central Washington Sales handled the transportation for many of their customers. As such, Central Washington Sales held a vested interest in carrier performance, and fast developed a reputation for good condition and on time delivery. It seemed only natural for Central Washington Sales to apply their sixteen years of experience to a business specializing in the transportation of perishable commodities. In 1996 Central Washington Sales ceased operation as a produce
brokerage company, and established A Plus Transportation.
A Plus Transportation operated as a DBA of Central Washingtonm Sales Inc. from 1996 until 2004, when A Plus incorporated separate from Central Washington Sales and became A Plus Transportation, Inc.
