#1: Baja Beef Gordita
Quick Description: Beef, Baja Sauce (monterey jack cheese sauce with cracked peppercorns mixed in), lettuce, Fiesta Salsa (diced tomatoes, white onions, cilantro and spices) and a blend of three cheeses (cheddar, mozzarella and monterey jack peppercorn) in a pita bread.
My Quick Opinion: This is my FAVORITE THING to get at Taco Bell for good reason! The flavor of Taco Bell's seasoned beef and Baja Sauce together is OUT OF THIS WORLD! The cool, subtle spice the Fiesta Salsa yields is a great compliment to the Baja Sauce. The pita has a nice soft texture and everything else tastes great too. Eat with confidence!!
#2: 7 Layer Burrito
Quick Description: Beans, sour cream (Taco Bell's sour cream contains gelatin, which some vegetarians may not want to eat), lettuce, tomato, seasoned guacamole, a blend of three cheeses (cheddar, mozzarella and monterey jack peppercorn) and mexican rice in a large tortilla.
My Quick Opinion: A flavorful, filling meatless burrito. Taco Bell seasons their beans and rice very nicely, but the main reason why this burrito is great is how delicious the sour cream and Taco Bell's special guacamole taste when they combine. The veggies and cheese are great as well! Eat with confidence!!
#3: Steak Mexican Pizza
Quick Description: Beans sandwiched between two flat, crispy tortillas, topped with Taco Bell's pizza sauce (which has chunky tomatoes), a blend of three cheeses (cheddar, mozzarella and monterey jack peppercorn), tomatoes and green onions. Steak is put on top of all of this.
My Quick Opinion: The flavor and texture of Taco Bell's steak blends exquisitely with everything else in this dish. Italian and Mexican fusion at it's best!! Eat with confidence!!
#4: Chicken Chalupa Supreme
Quick Description: A fried flatbread pita filled with chicken, sour cream (Taco Bell's sour cream contains gelatin, which some vegetarians may not want to eat), a blend of three cheeses (cheddar, mozzarella and monterey jack peppercorn), lettuce and tomato.
My Quick Opinion: The crispiness of the pita, the texture and spices of the chicken and the coolness of the sour cream are the key components here. Everything else tastes great too! Eat with confidence!!
#5: Beef Nacho Cheese Chalupa
Quick Description: A fried flatbread pita filled with beef, nacho cheese sauce, lettuce and tomatoes.
My Quick Opinion: The hot spicy nacho cheese sauce goes very well with the beef. Everything else is great, too. Eat with confidence!!
Honorable Mention goes to the Beef and Chicken Triple Burrito, which was a limited time offer unfortunately, which is why it can't really be on the top 5. I seriously hope they come back...they were incredibly delicious and tasted less like fast food and more like authentic mexican cuisine. They were outstanding. Taco Bell, if you are reading this...PLEASE make the Triple Burritos a permanent Taco Bell item!
This page is mine and stuff, so please don't rip it off. That is all.
