Beef Baja Gordita
Description: Take a warm flatbread pita, add beef, lettuce, Taco Bell's awesome
three cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, pepperjack) blend, Fiesta Salsa (tomatoes, onions, cilantro and delicious special spices) and that oh so zesty Pepperjack Sauce and
you've got yourself the Baja Beef Gordita! My Opinion: The Gordita could be accurately described as Mexico's version of
a Gyro. Don't know what a Gyro is? Well, it also basically is meat, veggies and
sauce wrapped up in a flatbread pita, but it's got greek spices in it. Heh,
anyway, the the texture of the pita is very nice. The Gordita is a great thing
no matter what meat and flavor you get. Now, more specifically, how does the Beef
Baja Gordita taste? OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG, Taco Bell's seasoned
beef goes sooooooo weeeeellll with the zeeeeeesty Pepperjack Saauuuuuce...and
they put a generous amount of meat and sauce, as well as all of the other great
ingredients! It's like Taco Bell did extensive research to find the right type
of sauce that would go well with their meats the best! I like this Gordita so
much that I might even consider it my favorite Taco Bell food item PERIOD.
Needless to say it gets a SEAL OF APPROVAL!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOO! :: regains
composure :: Randy's Opinion: Every time that I even think about Taco Bell, I think about munching on one
of these babies...from the moment I bite through the flatbread pita and
dive into the innards of this amazing gordita, I'm lost in the...ah crap,
I was never good at sounding smart. Although these come with tomatoes and
lettuce, I usually knock these off; they actually kind of piss me off.
This Gordita is so perfect. The flatbread pita mixes so well with the beef,
which mixes perfectly with the cheese, which, in part mixes very good with
my taste buds. In classes I fantasize about eating one of these all day
long. Thank you TB for making me such an awesome Gordita. This is most definitely my favorite thing to eat at Taco Bell. Every time I go there I get at the very least two of these zesty sweethearts. Try these everyone...they're sure to give your mouth an orgasmic rush...if that
makes sense. Damnit...now I'm hungry...anyways, try this Gordita NOW!Chicken Baja Gordita
Description: The awesome Baja sauce/salsa duo gets to copulate with Taco Bell's
chicken, not to mention the lettuce and three cheese blend get to strut their
perverbial stuff! My Opinion: The chicken tastes good with everything, but the Fiesta Salsa is
the thing in this Gordita that makes everything work. In my opinion, the
chicken and Pepperjack sauce don't go together by themselves as much as the
beef and Pepperjack do. Luckily, like I said, the Fiesta Salsa forms a triangle
of good taste and the cheeses and lettuce are a righteous finishing touch.Steak Baja Gordita
Description: The steak and Baja flavors aren't strangers...this taste trio now
gets to crash in a new flatbread pad. Oh look! Three Cheese and lettuce are
here! Let's get this party started! My Opinion: Another awesome flavor combination. The steak and Baja flavors
create a slightly hot taste like I've said before, but it's nothing most people
can't handle, at least I think so anyway.Beef Fiesta Gordita Description: A Beef Baja Gordita without Pepperjack sauce. All Baja Gorditas were Fiesta Gorditas first. My Opinion: I have no idea how or why, but the beef seemed to overpower the Fiesta Salsa, whereas when Pepperjack Sauce is there, the Salsa is able to compliment the Pepperjack and beef combination. Still, it's not bad at all, but I will always want Baja over this. :PChicken Fiesta Gordita Description: This Gordita must feel naked without the almighty Sauce, but it still has enough power to tantalize taste buds. My Opinion: The juiciness of the Fiesta Salsa tomatoes goes well with the Taco Bell chicken. The spices of both of these ingredients blend very nicely. Everything else adds their respective good flavor as well. Still, "Baja is Better." :PSteak Fiesta Gordita Description: Things cool down with the absence of the Pepperjack... My Opinion: This is actually nice and interesting. The mild yet mouthwatering Fiesta Salsa spices keep the steak spices in check. The balance is actually pretty tasty. I like this just as much as the Baja version.Beef Santa Fe Gordita
Description: This flavor of Gordita (and Chalupa) has been discontinued for a
while now, but luckily I was able to try a couple of items that had the Santa
Fe flavor. This Gordita has everything the Beef Baja Gordita has, except that
Santa Fe sauce is used instead of Pepperjack sauce and Southwest Salsa is used
instead of Fiesta Salsa. My Opinion: The Santa Fe sauce is creamy in texture, which is very nice. Its
flavor, like the name Santa Fe suggests, is very southwestern, i.e. mexican
food with Texas style spices. I've been told that this sauce is a variation of the creamy jalapeno sauce but with more of a smoke flavor and not as hot. It goes great with the beef, but not as well as
the Pepperjack sauce, heh. The Southwest Salsa was a blend of black beans, corn, red and green bell peppers and a mix of special spices and lime juice. This was also very
southwestern in flavor, like its name once again suggests. There wasn't
anything wrong with this flavor at all; I liked it very much. I wonder why it
was discontinued?Chicken Santa Fe Gordita
Description: Now the famous Taco Bell chicken gets to be hogtied with the
spices of the southwest. My Opinion: This was tasty, but it seemed to me that the Santa Fe sauce
didn't quite have the harmony with the chicken that it did with the beef.Steak Santa Fe Gordita
Description: The Carne Asada Taco Bell Steak would probably feel right at home
with the Santa Fe sauce and Southwest Salsa. Sadly, this item was discontinued before I had a chance to try it)! :( If
you tried it before it was discontinued, send
your opinion on it to me and I will give you due credit.Beef Supreme Gordita
Description: A more simple Gordita, this flatbread pita contains beef, tomatoes, lettuce,
the three cheese blend and sour cream. My Opinion: This Gordita focuses on the enjoyment of the pita. It's
obviously good, but if you're like me you want something special in a special
item like a Gordita. :) I myself would rather get a Beef Double Decker Taco
Supreme instead of this.Chicken Supreme Gordita
Description: The chicken pulls the ol' switcheroo with the beef in the Beef Supreme Gordita. My Opinion: Again, good, but I would rather get a Chicken Double Decker Taco
Supreme; it's more filling and has way more flavor. However, if you would like
to enjoy the flatbread pita with some chicken, go for it!Steak Supreme Gordita
Description: Now the steak gets to show everyone what it's got with the more traditional toppings in Flatbread Land. My Opinion: For those who want to enjoy the pita with the tasty steak\sour
cream duo, here's your chance. Yes I'm repeating myself too much but I don't
care, I would rather have a Steak Double Decker Taco Supreme! :PBeef Nacho Cheese Gordita Description: The three cheeses finally get to take a well
deserved rest! This Gordita has beef, lettuce, tomato and a generous amount of
Taco Bell's spicy, creamy naaaacho cheeeeese. My Opinion: Wow! The nacho cheese and beef go great in here (yes, Pepperjack
sauce still goes better :P). The tomatoes also add to the harmony by adding a slight amount of coolness and sweetness, which goes well with the nacho. This is very delicious!Chicken Nacho Cheese Gordita Description: Cheezy chicken with lettuce and tomato in the
yummy pita. My Opinion: The cheese goes great with the chicken, but doesn't *quite* have
the harmony that the cheese and beef share. Still great, though.Steak Nacho Cheese Gordita
Description: Taco Bell's answer to a steak n' cheese! My Opinion: The Carne Asada spices taste interesting with the nacho cheese,
but the beef still goes best with the cheese.Beef Club Gordita Description: Yet another unofficial shell swap! The club sauce, bacon, three cheeses, lettuce, tomato and beef that are in the Beef Club Chalupa now rest in the warm Gordita pita. My Opinion: Extremely delicious! The club sauce and beef team up again. This is right up there with the Chalupa version! It easily gets a SEAL OF APPROVAL!Chicken Club Gordita Description: Look at the above description and switch chicken with beef. :P My Opinion: I do NOT know why, but this tastes better than the Chicken Club Chalupa! All the flavor of everything can be tasted much easier to me, especially the harmony of the chicken, bacon and club sauce. I find it extremely funny that the original version of the item doesn't have a Seal of Approval, yet all the customized versions do, INCLUDING THIS ONE!Steak Club Gordita Description: Dual meat and club sauce Action in Shell Swap III: The Righteous Customization, now playing at a Gordita near you! My Opinion: Hot dang! Just like the Steak Club Chalupa is the best Club Chalupa IMO, this is IMO the best Club Gorita! The bacon and steak once again form a dilectable pair! SEAL OF APPROVAL!Beef Cheesy Gordita Crunch
Descripton: Similar in design to a Double Decker Taco, the Cheesy Gordita
Crunch is a Hard Taco with Pepperjack Sauce in it, which is then wrapped
in a Gordita pita which has a melted (steamed) 3 cheese blend in it. My Opinion: Very nice!! The combination of the textures of the melted cheeses and the taco shell are very enjoyable and go great with everything else in this item. Now I know what you're all asking...and actually, I still like the Baja Gordita more. Without Fiesta Salsa, something feels missing. This is still good, though, especially if you like melted cheese. Hopefully the Cheesy Gordita Crunch is here to stay now! Dylan's Opinion: If you like the regular Baja Gorditas, you should thouroughly enjoy these, The hard taco shell and melted cheese add a whole new dimension to the delicious Gordita Shell and Baja sauce. Suprisingly, it goes together very well. The way it all mixes is hard to explain, but it is incredibly delicious. Especially if you enjoy Taco Bell's three cheese blend.Chicken Cheesy Gordita Crunch Description: What a surprise, Taco Bell forgot to serve this item with the other meats. It's a good thing I'm around, huh? ;) My Opinion: This is actually better than the beef version. The melted cheeses, taco shell and chicken are very tasty together...kinda like a crunchy MexiMelt!Steak Cheesy Gordita Crunch Description: Taco Bell Rules and everything, but I wish I could talk to the people who are in charge of what's on the menu. Seriously. My Opinion: This is the best tasting one out of all of them! Something about the cheeses, sauce and steak combination is really good! The textures of the steak and cheese go quite well together also.Beef Cheesy Gordita Crunch Supreme Description: A Beef Cheesy Gordita Crunch with sour cream and tomatoes. My Opinion: This is way better than I thought it would be! The sour cream and pepperjack sauce actually go quite well together and taste good with the beef (but not as much as pepperjack and beef alone) and tomatoes are always a welcome addition to a Taco Bell taste treat.Chicken Cheesy Gordita Crunch Supreme Description: Chicken, cheese and a pepperjack sauce upgraded with sour cream. My Opinion: Also very good; the already tasty flavors and textures of the chicken, crunchy taco shell and melted cheeses are further enhanced by the sour cream pepperjack sauce.Steak Cheesy Gordita Crunch Supreme Description: The Three Ses: Steak, Sour Cream and Pepperjack Sauce. My Opinion: Steak and sour cream always go well together, so this, combined with all the other great tasting things in this item, is very nice.Beef Ultimate Gordita Description: Everything in a Beef Supreme Gordita with the addition of guacamole and Fiesta Salsa. My Opinion: To avoid the fiasco that ensued when I tried getting the Ultimate Chalupas (funny read), I simply ordered three Supreme Gorditas one beef one chicken one steak and asked for three sides of guacamole and Salsa. Friggin delicious. It was a nice change to have the texture of the non fried pita. I'd have to say that I like the Chalupa version of this better if I had to compare the two, but this is still a great unofficial item.Chicken Ultimate Gordita Description: There's just something about that chicken... My Opinion: This is the best one out of the three and easily gets a SEAL. The chicken goes great with everything like in the Chalupa version.Steak Ultimate Gordita Description: I've given up on why TB just doesn't make things like this official. It's one of those mysteries that will plague mankind for eternity... :: spooky music in background :: My Opinion: Good as well, but like the Chalupa version, it is the least good out of the three.Beef Bacon Cheddar Gordita Crunch Description: Take a hard beef taco, add zesty southwest cheddar sauce to it, then surround it with a Gordita pita that has more cheddar and bacon bits on it and you have this food item... My Opinion: ...which really really ROCKS. The new sauce is interesting and delicious; it has a nice smoky flavor to it. It tastes great with the bacon. These two ingredients enhance everything else and create a very tasty Gordita Crunch, easily making it better than the original Gordita Crunches. Definitely try this!Chicken Bacon Cheddar Gordita Crunch Description: Did I mention I really like smoke flavored cheese? My Opinion: Also very good, although the beef is the best by far. The chicken and bacon taste well together.Steak Bacon Cheddar Gordita Crunch Description: It has steak now. Enough said. My Opinion: Not as good as the other two, but still good.Beef Ranch Gordita Description: Beef, lettuce and ranch sauce in a Gordita shell. Yep...that's it. My Opinion: :: speaking in a stupid person voice :: GeeEEee, I wonder if they are purposely keeping this food item simple to showcase the new ranch sauce? :: stops speaking in a stupid person voice :: Yep! Anyway, the sauce is pretty nice...not a bad ranch sauce, and it still tastes "Mexicany" enough. Goes well with tbe beef.Chicken Ranch Gordita Description: Chicken and ranch, an obvious classic pair. My Opinion: This is also good, although the blend of the beef flavors is actually better to me.Steak Ranch Gordita Description: /Steh-eek/. My Opinion: Not bad, but I prefer the beef the most. Chicken would be 2nd and Steak would be 3rd.BACK TO TACO BELL MENU...
