Bean Burrito
Description: This flour tortilla is filled with Taco Bell's delicious,
excellently seasoned beans, onions, cheddar cheese and Taco Bell's Red Sauce. The Red Sauce has
a nice tangy and spicy, but not too spicy taste. My Opinion: Noone said vegetarians couldn't enjoy Taco Bell too! A simple
yet satisfying item. This is great as a snack or a side order. Saint's Opinion: My favorite item is a bean burrito, but I make them add beef and rice. This
brings the total to $1.43, which is cheaper than a Fiesta Burrito and has
beans in addition to beef, rice, and cheese.Green Burrito
Description: The same as a Bean Burrito, but has Taco Bell's Green Sauce instead
of Red. My Opinion: Delicious! I have no idea why they stopped making this burrito in the first place, but now that the Green Sauce is back, having one of these yummy morsels is as easy as ordering a Bean Burrito without the Red Sauce and slapping on the Green! I think I might actually like this better; the Green Sauce goes great with everything else in this burrito. What I particularly like here how the onions and Green sauce team up to compliment the beans. Hehe, I can hear you vegetarians cheering right now; you'll probably like this more than everyone else!7 Layer Burrito
Description: A big tortilla filled to the perverbial brim with all of the
following things: Taco Bell Beans, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, guacamole, a fantastic three cheese blend consisting of cheddar, pepper jack and mozarella
and Taco Bell's deeeeeliciously seasoned mexican rice. Just so everyone knows, Taco Bell's sour cream has gelatin, which is an animal biproduct, so vegetarians that don't want to consume this should hold the sour cream or not get it. My Opinion: Holy CRAP this is great! Anyone who thinks that meatless Taco
Bell items aren't as good as ones with meat need to try this ASAP. Everything
harmonizes together. The rice and beans make up the base of this huge burrito
and all of the toppings taste amazing with them! One of the best parts of this burrito is how the sour cream and guacamole blend so well together, creating a thick, rich, amazingly flavorful sauce. I don't even normally eat guacamole but Taco Bell's guacamole is actually very good tasting!! 7 Layer, I bestow you with a
SEAL OF APPROVAL!Beef Burrito Supreme
Description: The standard Taco Bell burrito, it has a generous amount of beef, beans, Red Sauce, lettuce, cheddar
cheese, sour cream and onions and tomatoes. My Opinion: Very, very delicious. The cool taste of the sour cream and the
spicy taste of the red Sauce go well together and accent everything else in the
burrto extremely well.Chicken Burrito Supreme
Description: A Beef Burrito Supreme - beef + chicken = kickass. My Opinion: This one, to me at least, seems to be more filling than the beef
one. It rocks just as much as the beef one, too.Steak Burrito Supreme
Description: Time for the spices of the steak to dance the Lambada with the red
sauce, along with all of the other fresh, delicious ingredients Taco Bell
shoves into the tortilla. My Opinion: This is a great place to experience the harmony of the beans and
steak. The red sauce and steak spices also go well together, creating a
slightly hot and delicious taste in your mouth.Big Beef Burrito Supreme
Description: The same as the Beef Burrito Supreme, only with double the beef.
Because there is double the beef, it's also called the Double Beef Burrito
Supreme by some people. My Opinion: Oh yes, this is great. It has all the sensational flavors of
it's smaller cousin and more of that dilectable seasoned beeeeeeeeef...simple
bliss wrapped up in a tortilla! Congrats Big Beef Burrito Supreme, wear your
SEAL OF APPROVAL with pride!Big Chicken Burrito Supreme
Description: Loads of chicken inside, along with the delicious veggies, sauces
and other things that make this burrito great. My Opinion: Extremely scrumptious and filling. Needless to
say, if you like the Chicken Burrito Supreme you'll love this. SEAL OF
APPROVAL!Big Steak Burrito Supreme
Description: How do you improve on the way the steak and beans go together? Add
more steak, of course! :) My Opinion: I'm drooling. No, literally, I'm drooling. This may be the best
way to taste the steak and beans combo. Like I said before, the red sauce still
goes surprisingly well with the now double amount of steak. Everything
else adds to the enjoyment of the burrito like they should. This is actually my favorite Big Burrito Supreme out of all of them; it's awesome! SEAL OF APPROVAL!Beef Grilled Stuft Burrito
Description: Yes, the misspelling of "stuffed" is intentional. This
burrito has the same amount of meat in the Big Beef Burrito Supreme, along with
beans, Fiesta Salsa (tomatoes, onions, cilantro and delicious special spices), Pepperjack sauce, Taco Bell Rice and the special three
cheese blend. Once all
these things are added, it's "grilled" in a special griddle thingy. My Opinion: This item is basically a Beef Baja Gordita in a Burrito. It's
big, filling and tastes good, but for some reason it's difficult to taste all
of the flavors of everything inside. It's as if the flavors inside don't
harmonize well, which kinda confuses me, because I don't see why they
shouldn't. Oh, by the way, Taco Bell says the outside of the Grilled Stuft
Burrito is supposed to be crispy. While their special grilling method makes the
outside tortilla a nice brown color and makes it taste interestingly different,
it's not crispy. Oh well.Chicken Grilled Stuft Burrito
Description: Baja Gordita flavors, rice, beans, three cheeses and chicken all
thrown in that big tortilla and sizzled on that neat looking grilling
contraption. My Opinion: Much better than the Beef and Steak versions IMO. When
I bite into it, I can make out all of the sauces and flavors much easier and enjoy the
combination of it all. This is easily my favorite Grilled Stuft Burrito. Kelly's Opinion: This is ok. It's really filling, but it almost seemed to have TOO much. I'm not much for complexity. I would have liked it with just the chicken, rice and pepperjack sauce...and extra Border Sauce of course. :P I like spice.Steak Grilled Stuft Burrito
Description: It's the steak's turn to be put under the grill, along with
everything else that's shoved in this burrito until it's about to burst at the
seams. My Opinion: This is the hottest tasting Grilled Stuft Burrito. It's good,
but it has ingredient disharmony like the beef version does. Kelly's Opinion: The Steak Stuft Burrito is way better than the Chicken Stuft Burrito. It may have just been how it was prepared, but the chicken one seemed like too much, whereas the steak one has a more neutral flavor and it seems like just enough and doesn't confuse my tongue. This is nice. Brian's Customization: My favorite item is a Steak Grilled Stuft Burrito with No
Fiesta Salsa and a Lime Sauce kicker. The lime sauce complements the
steak and blends very well with the sauce that comes on the burrito
anyway. Add Fire sauce and it is spicy and tangy without going overboard.Beef Fiesta Burrito
Description: A simple yet interesting burrito, it has beef, Fiesta Salsa, Taco
Bell Rice and cheddar cheese. My Opinion: I do believe that this item is where Fiesta Salsa was born. If
you've ever wanted to see how the Fiesta Salsa tastes alone, this is a fine way to do it. It's pretty nice how the sweet tomato, Fiesta Salsa spices and beef go
together. One thing that could be changed about it is the fact that it's kind
of dry, since there isn't any sauce in it. Sour cream would be a nice addition,
I think.Chicken Fiesta Burrito
Description: Not really a Fiesta, but it is a nice small gettogether. The
chicken is the life of the party this time. My Opinion: Also tastes good and still suffers from the dryness due to the
lack of a sauce. Your best bet is to eat it quick while the chicken still has
it's juices.Steak Fiesta Burrito
Description: Rice, steak, Fiesta Salsa and cheddar. Enough said. My Opinion: Again, eat it while the steak still has its juices for the best
Steak Fiesta Burrito eating experience. The Steak spices and Fiesta Salsa
spices keep each other in check quite nicely actually...the burrito has a well balanced amount of heat.Chili Cheese Burrito (Regional Item, may not be at all locations)
Description: A normal sized tortilla filled with beef, cheddar cheese and a
special hot chili sauce. Lovingly known by most Taco Bell fans as the Chilito. Taco Bell beef is mixed with the sauce for this burrito beforehand; it isn't applied to the beef. This burrito is steamed before serving (Thanks for the info Caitlyn!). My Opinion: It's not very big, so if you're really hungry, get something
else. This item is quite tasty, though, as long as you can handle the heat of
the chili sauce; this is the hottest item Taco Bell has to offer. It even makes MY mouth burn sometimes, and I have high tolerance. Not a bad item to get
as a side.Frito Burrito Description: Basically like a Chili Cheese Burrito, but with the addition of Frito brand corn chips. Never got to try, but thankfully someone did! Alex's Opinion: Let me tell you, the crunch of the chips
and their own spice mixed with the spice of the chili
cheese is amazing. One of my favorite
items on the menu.Steak Fajita Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: This burrito is filled to the brim with steak, grilled onions, red and green bell peppers, sour cream, rice and a new zesty fajita sauce, then "grilled". This was the first advertised version. My Opinion: This is very, VERY good!! The flavors of the peppers and new Fajita Sauce go extremely well with the steak. The texture of the peppers also helps the burrito seem more like a fajita. The sour cream helps keep the burrito being too hot and the rest of the ingredients make a fine base! SEAL OF APPROVAL!! Dylan's Opinion: ...it is delicious. I ordered mine without Sour Cream because I think it masks the true flavors of the meat and sauces. The new Fajita sauce is a little spicy, yet tangy. When mixed in with the delicious steak morsels and rice it adds a new demension to the flavors of the steak. I can say that it almost surpasses my love for the regular Grilled Stuft Burrito.Chicken Fajita Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: Everything in the above burrito except the ol' steak > chicken switcheroo. This version is also advertised. My Opinion: This is also good, but not as good as the steak version. The peppers don't seem to go with the chicken as well.Beef Fajita Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: The only version that's unofficial. My Opinion: This is better than the chicken version because the beef goes better with the Fajita sauce. It's a nice flavor. However, this burrito suffers from the same flaw as the chicken version; the peppers just don't go as well with the beef as they do with the steak.Chicken Caesar Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: This simple burrito has chicken, red tortilla strips, romaine lettuce and caesar sauce. This is the first advertised version. My Opinion: The new lettuce was very crisp even after it was grilled. Nice texture. The red strips crunchiness enhanced the burrito's texture even further. The caesar sauce was good, but it was very mild. Sometimes I couldn't even taste it at all. It's worth trying once.Beef Caesar Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: A caesar salad with the ever-delicious Taco Bell beef on top. This version is unofficial. My Opinion: The above description pretty much sums it up. I guess Taco Bell thought that the beef and caesar sauce wouldn't go well together, but they in fact do.Steak Caesar Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: Beware the Ides of Sauce! Um...I mean Steak! I mean...whatever. This version is official. My Opinion: The chicken version's description also fits here except for the fact that the steak doesn't go as well with the caesar sauce. This actually isn't very good...I don't reccomend it.Steak Burrito Belgrande Description: This discontinued burrito had steak, green sauce, cheddar cheese, fiesta salsa, sour cream and get this...tater tots! This burrito retired years ago. However, we have someone who can turn back the clock for us and tell us how it was!! Kevin's Opinion: This was GODLIKE. The Steak Burrito Belgrande was what I ordered every time
I went to Taco Bell for the entire time they were available. Everything else
on the menu paled in comparison. There was tons of steak in the burrito, the
cheese blend was perfect, had plenty of the tomatoes/onions/cilantro blend,
the perfect amount of sour cream, and the tater tots were surprisingly good.
The result was a mix that was so uniqe and flavorful that it shouldve been
illegal. Overall, this was the best burrto that Taco Bell ever had...and is
only rivaled by the Chicken Grilled Stuft. God I wish the Steak Burrito
Belgrande was back. It was almost holy.Bean Burrito Especial Description: First item on the the Big Bell Value menu, introduced by Taco Bell as a way to provide a lot of food for cheap (I dunno why, their normal stuff is cheap enough). The BBVM seems to only be avalible on the west coast though. Anyways, onto the burrito. The Bean Burrito Especial goes for 99 cents and it has double the amount of beans as a normal bean burrito, cheese, red sauce, onions, and the creamy jalapeno sauce normally put on the quesadillas. It uses the same 12 inch tortilla as the grilled stuft burrito and is folded the same way as the gsb. It is not grilled like it though. My Opinion: This is a very filling burrito for the price. However, I don't think the jalapeno sauce belongs here. It made it difficult for me to taste the beans. The sauce is bold and hot, whereas the beans are mild. Also, I couldn't taste the red sauce at ALL. It was completely drowned out (or is it even there? if we're wrong, please say so). If you love Taco Bell's japlapeno sauce or hot spicy food in general, youll probably love this. This is nice, but I prefer the flavor of the normal Bean Burrito. Jon's opinion: This is fairly decent, you only need to order one, maybe 2 if you're extra hungry in order to be filled up. I have one problem with this though, there is way too much beans. I'm one of those people who thought there was too much in the regular bean burrito, so this kinda overdoes it. There is a great taste variety with the red sauce + creamy jalapeno sauce, but the quantity of beans seems to mask it. Good if you like a ton of beans. Dylan's Opinion: This 1/2 pound delight is another one of my new favorites. I'd like to start off and say that I love regular bean burritos and that they are one of my favorite items at the bell. The sheer size of this thing makes it a fast food bargain to be reckoned with. Everything blends perfectly in this 1/2 pound delight, delicious, hearty beans, creamy jalepeno sauce, zesty red sauce and flavorful cheese combine to make a taste sensation that makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck.Beef Combo Burrito Description: Next on the Big Bell Value menu. A buritto filled with the same amount of beans as a bean burrito and twice the amount of beef thats in a soft taco. Also has red sauce, cheese, and onions. Basically a bean burrito with a lot of extra beef added. My Opinion: Simple, filling and delicious. This is also a good burrito to get if you don't like sour cream or creamy sauces (I've come to notice that there's quite a few people that don't seem to enjoy it). Jon's Opinion: I've been ordering this unofficially for years. It's great if you can't decide if you want beans or beef in your burrito. Fills you up, and is only 1.29.Beef and Potato Burrito
Description: This burrito comes with beef, a potato bites, red sauce, sour cream, and green onions. My Opinion: It's not uncommon for a taco bell food item to have two or more ingredients that make up the core, but here the ingredients are simple so that the potatoes stand out. A very good burrito, everything inside compliments the spuds quite well while not trying to fight it for center stage. Filling and fun! Jon's Opinion: My favorite burrito at taco bell. It's cheap (1.29), and the combined beef, sour cream, and red sauce is great. The real star here is the potatoes though, it doesn't seem like they'd go good with all that but they add the perfect taste and it helps hide the mask that the sour cream puts on the dish. 2 thumbs up! Dylan's Opinion: I love this thing. When you first hear about it, the first thing you think is: "Potatos in a burrito?" It sounds like it may be weird or maybe even gross, but these things are incredible. The delicious fried potatos add a whole new demention to taco bell burritos and the delicious combination of taco bell's seasoned beef, red sauce and sour cream is superb. The green onions finish of the package and make it one of my new favorites.Spicy Chicken and Potato Burrito Description: This is a Beef and Potato Burrito with Spicy Chicken
substituted for the Beef. Spicy Chicken is discontinued (Thanks for the info Caitlyn!). This interesting customization is something I have not yet ventured forth to try, but until then, take it away, 7 Layer Mike! 7 Layer Mike's Opinion: This is excellent. It is not on the menu of course, and
it costs a little extra but it is well worth it. This mixture of the
spicy sauce with the sour cream is my favorite part, as the cream
mellows the sauce. I have them usually hold the red sauce, as it can
confuse the spicy chicken sauce a little.
Spicy Chicken Burrito Description: This burrito is made in a similar way to the Chili Cheese Burrito. The shredded chicken is simmered in mexican spices beforehand, so there is no way to get a beef or steak version. They've also thrown in seasoned rice, fiesta salsa and a "zesty sauce" which is probably the creamy jalapeno sauce found in other Taco Bell Items. Spicy Chicken is discontinued (Thanks for the info Caitlyn!). My Opinion: Holy crap. This thing is one of the most amazing food items to come out of Taco Bell since the Baja Beef Gordita. No seriously, the chicken spices are amazing and the tanginess of the Fiesta Salsa goes perfectly with them! The sauce provides a nice hot kick to the burrito (as long as you don't hate hot stuff) and the rice is a great base. This awesome burrito gets a big fat SEAL OF APPROVAL!!!!!Classic Chicken Burrito Description: This discontinued burrito had a hearty helping of chicken, rice, red sauce, cheddar cheese and green onions. Thanks go to Ricky for telling me about this burrito. Thanks also go to the following reviewers!! Brent's Opinion:
This used to be my favorite thing on the menu. It was simple, yet perfect. I was
super bummed when they switched it out for the Fiesta chicken burrito, which
doesn't have the all important red sauce (it's boring and dry without it), and
has fiesta salsa (tomatos... and I hate tomatos).Oldschool Big Chicken Burrito Supreme Description: This also discontinued burrito had 2 scoops of chicken, seasoned rice, sour cream, green onions and cheddar cheese. Thanks go to Ricky for telling me about this burrito. If anyone ate it back then, please tell the tale!!Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito Description: This delicious burrito has four cheeses (nacho cheese sauce and shredded mozzarella, cheddar and pepperjack), Fiesta Salsa, beans, rice and the zesty jalapeno sauce. My Opinion: You NEED to try this burrito. The head chefs at Taco Bell have done it again! The stars of the show are the cheeses and Fiesta Salsa. The tanginess will make your mouth sing. The beans and rice as usual provide a good base and the zesty sauce gives it just the right amount of kick, accenting the tanginess quite well. An easy SEAL OF APPROVAL! Ricky's Opinion: The explosion of the 4 cheeses and the fiesta salsa make one helluva great tasting burrito.Beef Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito Description: You can't go wrong by adding Taco Bell's succulent seasoned beef to this already dilectable concoction. Adding any type of meat to this burrito is officially sancioned by Taco Bell... My Opinion: ...and I'm glad. The beef combines with the cheese and Fiesta Salsa to create a meaty taste sensation. Adding beef doesn't necessarily make the burrito better than the meatless, though; I consider each version equal. Coincidentally, they're all getting SEALS OF APPROVAL!! if you couldn't figure it out before. ;) Ricky's Opinion: Then Beef version blends well with the ingredients but cannot match the tastiness of the Chicken or Steak versions.Chicken Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito Description: Chicken goes so well in this burrito, you can almost hear the Taco Bell commercial song inside as all the ingredients dance the night away...until you devour them, that is! My Opinion: MMMMMMMmmmmm...once again the meat joins the cheeses and salsa on stage and tastes amazing. SEAL OF APPROVAL!! Ricky's Opinion: I always add extra jalapeno sauce to mine because the chicken can sometimes overpower the taste.Steak Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito Description: Blah blah it's got steak this time doo dee doo. My Opinion: You seriously can't go wrong with any meat. The steak combines with the tangy duo of the cheese and salsa excellently. SEAL OF APPROVAL!! Ricky's Opinion: The steak along with the 4 cheeses fiesta and jalapeno sauce just tastes great together. The beans and rice also go along with it.Bacon Cheeseburger Burrito Description: A burrito with beef, bacon bits and cheese...and apparently a sauce... ...according to this guy. (oops! this reviewer's name got deleted somehow. if you sent in this review, tell me) Now this is an item I miss. I liked all the bacon menus, especially the Bacon Cheeseburger Burrito. It had a zesty sauce that I am still trying to figure out. The closest I can come to is French dressing, sounds gross, tastes great.Country Breakfast Burrito Description: One of many discontinued breakfast items, it apparently had sausages, gravy and potatoes inside. Thanks for the info, Carl! If anyone ate it back then, please tell the tale!!Cheesarito Description: This discontinued burrito had Mexican Pizza sauce, two helpings of cheddar cheese and green onions, all nicely steamed and melted. Never got to try this (thanks for the info Grace!) but thankfully there seem to be Taco Bells that still make this! Julie's Opinion: I still order this. I usually have to tell them how to make it. But it is sooooo worth it. Mmmm. . . . . warm melted cheesy goodness. This is the best old school item!Chicken Chipotle Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: This burrito has chicken, chipotle sauce, special chipotle flavored rice (man, that's a lot of chipotle!), sour cream, beans, the three cheese blend and tomatoes. My Opinion: Pretty darn tasty! The chipotle sauce is quite flavorful...and also hot, which is obviously the reason why they have sour cream to help you out. Try to get them to apply the sauce and sour cream on top of each other so they mix inside. When I tried one of these the sour cream was bunched up on the other side of the burrito so it wasn't able to help. But yeah, the new sauce compliments everything very well. I have to wonder though, why do they have chipotle flavored rice, when there's already chipotle sauce in there? Kinda contradictory if you ask me, especially since they keep saying in the commercials that this burrito has a "perfect balance of flavor and spice." Still, this is a frickin good burrito.Steak Chipotle Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: Chipotle Overkill Activated. Target Acquired: Steak. DEPLOY. My Opinion: I wasn't expecting this, but the new flavors really don't go with the steak very well. This burrito is "eh" at best. Try it only if you really like Taco Bell steak.Beef Chipotle Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: GrrrrrRRRRRRRR... My Opinion: :: pulls up to the front of Taco Bell HQ with a megaphone :: "TACO BELL!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? Do you know how many unofficial items taste better than the OFFICIAL ones!? You just added another to the list!!" Yes, this burrito is another one of my patented special customizations. It also tastes better than both the chicken and the steak ones. It also gets a SEAL OF APPROVAL, mainly because the beef and new sauce taste awesome together.Chicken Enchilada Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: This burrito has chicken, enchilada rice, the three cheese blend and supposedly has the "Enchilada Sauce" from the Enchilada Bowls. My Opinion: This burrito is good, but quite mediocre. None of the flavors particularly wowed me. Also, the Enchilada Sauce tasted different than the one that was used back when I tried the Enchilada Bowls. It tasted like traditional Red Sauce but with a few more spices. I have no idea why this sauce got such a significant downgrade in flavor, but I prefer version 1.0 over version 2.0 by far.Steak Enchilada Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: Steak instead of chicken. My Opinion: Just like the chicken one, this burrito suffers from an extreme case of mediocrity. I suppose this one tastes the best out of the three, since the new Enchilada Sauce tastes a lot like the Red Sauce and Taco Bell steak goes great with Red Sauce.Beef Enchilada Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: Yeah, with beef. My Opinion: Also good but mediocre. Not much else to say.Steak Nacho Crunch Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: This interesting burrito has steak, crunchy red corn strips, nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, beans and a generous amount of green onions. (Update 9/28/09: There is a new version of this burrito that is only a slight ingredient variant and is not grilled.) My Opinion: Wow, this is extremely delicious. Everything in the burrito tastes nice, but the thing that really makes this burrito is the green onions. They give everything an awesome, spicy flavor. The one flaw this burrito has is that it's not crunchy. I actually really don't know what they were thinking...first off you have all the warm ingredients in the burrito, second they put it in the grill, adding more heat! So yeah the strips get real soggy, real fast, but please don't let that stop you from trying this; it's incredibly flavorful!! This one is the best out of all of them.Chicken Nacho Crunch Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: Maybe that speed eating Kobayashi guy could actually get a crunch out of it by scarfing it down... My Opinion: Again, extremely delicious. It's amazing what a little onions can do! This is the second best, almost equal to the steak.Beef Nacho Crunch Grilled Stuft Burrito Description: Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare for the weirdest Taco Bell story ever. I've told you about how I wish they would let you have any meat in a food item a million times. I've told you about the disgruntled TB employee who gave me a hard time with the Ultimate Chalupas (scroll down to the bottom). This, however...takes the crown even from that. I call this story...
THE NACHO CRUNCH FIASCO!!!
So yeah two friends of mine and I go to Taco Bell. I try getting the new burritos, one beef one chicken one steak. I meet resistance but at least the Taco Bell person at the register was nice about it. She said the manager says no to beef in the new burrito. I asked if she gave a specific reason and she said that there was no reason. So I decided to talk to the manager directly (this is the first time I've EVER had to do this and I never in a million years thought I would ever have to).
She said that the computer is programmed to only allow chicken and steak in the burrito. I don't know why she used that excuse, because I know how the computers work!! Theres a minus ingredient button and a plus ingredient button. I mentioned that, and she admitted there was no reason for the beef restriction and I ordered one and thanked her.
As I was waiting for my food, I noticed that virtually all the customers in the place were disgruntled. One girl at the waiting counter had to tell them three times that they made mistakes. Not only that but they were making food very slowly. Well I got most of my food but I didnt get the beef burrito yet because it was a separate order. One of my friends got his food and he got a Chicken Nacho Crunch, but all of a sudden I hear him say, "Hey CG! They gave me YOUR beef burrito!" He only took a little bite so he gave it to me. So I'm eating and all of a sudden one of the employees said, "Hey don't you want your beef burrito?" o_O They made ANOTHER ONE!!! Not only that but after my friend got his own Chicken Nacho Crunch they messed THAT up too (they forgot to omit the sour cream like he wanted), plus my other friend waited even longer for his food (they skipped his order completely) and HIS Chicken Nacho Crunch wasn't right either. They were so annoyed that they stopped caring and ate what they got.
Now while all this was transpiring, I noticed that EVERYONE in the Taco Bell was watching everything that was going on. Apparently the mixup they did with our food took the cake. There were a few people in the corner that sympathized with us cuz apparently they were waiting for their own incorrect orders too. We overheard them saying things like, "How stupid are these guys, all you have to do is look at the screen... "I'm so hungry I'll eat whatever they put in front of me... "I'll eat **** on a stick if that's what they give me..."
Sheesh...I love Taco Bell and everything but this was hands down their darkest hour.
My Opinion: Oh, by the way, the beef version of the burrito tasted good, just like I thought it would. :) Least good out of the three, but still definitely worth getting.
Cheesy Beefy Melt Description: This burrito has beef, rice, sour cream and lots of the three cheese blend. My Opinion: This really didn't wow me. It's not a bad food item by any means, but when I ate it, all I could think was that it tasted like a Burrito Supreme that was stripped of a lot of ingredients that made it cool. The cheese overload is kinda nice, but sometimes when I bit into it, all I got was cheese and nothing else. If you really, really like cheese, then you'll probably like this a lot more than me, but to me, this burrito is just meh.Cheesy Chickeny Melt Description: Thankfully, they didn't care about changing the meat. My Opinion: It was still meh, though.Cheesy Steaky Melt Description: The Cheat, can you please tell them what I think of this burrito? My Opinion: Meh!Cheesy Double Beef Burrito Description: A simple burrito with a generous helping of beef, mexican rice and nacho cheese sauce. My Opinion: Simple deliciousness! All three items team up for a straight-up spicy sensation! This is a very good way to just enjoy the combination of beef and nacho cheese together.Cheesy Double Chicken Burrito Description: Chicken lovers have reason to celebrate. My Opinion: This is arguably the best way to taste the combination of chicken and nacho cheese...it's also not a bad way to just enjoy the chicken by itself! Don't get me wrong, my burrito had plenty of nacho, but on the parts that weren't touched by the sauce, I got to enjoy the delicious Taco Bell chicken all by itself! I like this one the most out of the three.Cheesy Double Steak Burrito Description: Eat steak eat steak eat a big old steer, eat steak eat steak can we have one dear... My Opinion: This is good, but the flavors don't mix as well as they do in the other two. If you love steak, you'll probably go crazy.Fajita Steak Melt Description: I don't know why Taco Bell has been calling a bunch of their new burritos "melts," but oh well. This is filled with steak, the three cheese blend and "fajita veggies" which consists of onions plus green and red peppers. This is the only official version...grrr. My Opinion: These are quite good. They don't have as much cheese as the Cheesy Melts (scroll up) so it's not as much of a calcium overdose. Nice, simple deliciousness. I like the steak version the least out of the three, though.Fajita Chicken Melt Description: Same as above, but with chicken... My Opinion: ...which is why this one is better. The chicken seasonings go great with the veggies. :: Borat voice :: Very nice! I like!Fajita Beef Melt Description: Beef. My Opinion: I thought the chicken one would be my favorite, but it's actually this one. There is a nice synergy going on with all of the ingredients.Chicken Jalapeno Melt This burrito has chicken, mexican rice, the three cheese blend...AND LOTS AND LOTS OF JALAPENO PEPPERS. My Opinion: People who love it when their mouth is on FIRE will really enjoy these...or will they? There's this one thing that some Taco Bell employees do that nobody likes...when they're assembling a burrito, they don't mix all the ingredients well and, for example, if you order a burrito with mexican rice in it, ALL of the rice will sometimes be bunched up at one end of the burrito and it won't be touching anything else so you can't get the mixture of each ingredient in your mouth...you have to fight your way past the rice to get to the rest and once you get in the middle there's no rice left! I know there are people out there who know what I'm talking about. So, now we come to this burrito. GUESS WHICH INGREDIENT WAS BUNCHED UP AT THE END I TOOK A BITE OUT OF. Yeah...not pleasant. I had to painstakingly remove all of the jalapenos from them because I was so annoyed. Even if the peppers were more spaced out in the burrito, I still don't think I would like this. The jalapeno flavor completely deadened my taste buds to everything else. Even after I removed all the jalapenos, there was still some of their flavor left on everything else and I got sick of it. These burritos are not good.Beef Jalapeno Melt Description: Beef from Hell. My Opinion: Fuego en mi boca!Steak Jalapeno Melt Description: Scorched Steak. My Opinion: It's like there's a tiny electric powered grill inside the food still cooking it as I'm eating it.Triple Beef Burrito Description: A triple helping of beef, along with cheddar cheese, Taco Bell rice, sour cream and a special new Fire Roasted Sauce. This is UNOFFICIAL.My Opinion: Wow...this new item shot up to one of my most favorite Taco Bell food items ever immediatly. That new sauce is astronomically delicious and mixes with the flavor of the beef nigh perfectly. The flavor of this burrito is the CLOSEST Taco Bell has ever come to authentic Tex-Mex/Mexican cuisine. This is something everyone should try because it's just plain great. Unfortunately, I have heard a rumor that this item will not be permanent and it will only last for another month, so PLEASE, I IMPLORE YOU to try these while they are here. Yes, I know, usually I describe the official version of an item first and then move on to the unofficial, but this one is the best tasting. SEAL OF APPROVAL AS BIG AS THE PLANET!!Triple Chicken Burrito Description: Imagine that dramatic music from 2001: A Space Oddesy playing while you see this burrito rising in the horizon and add a lens flare for effect. THAT'S how good it is. This is an official configuration. My Opinion: This is also extremely delicious and tastes less like fast food and more like food you would find in a real mexican restaurant. I AM NOT KIDDING. SEAL OF APPROVAL. TRY THIS!!!! AND THE BEEF ONE TOO!!!! AAAHHH!!!!Triple Steak Burrito Description: Steak. This is official. Enough said. Sadly, this version is not as good as the other two in my opinion. The sauce and the steak spices don't mingle well at all.Beef Volcano Double Burrito Description: Beef, rice, cheddar cheese, red tortilla strips, sour cream and Lava Sauce. My Opinion: Well, it seems the Lava Sauce wanted vengeance on my mouth. It really didn't pose a challenge to me when I had the Volcano Tacos, but now that there's more sauce in this food item, it's pretty powerful!!! I could have finished them if I really wanted to, but it would not have been pleasant going down...it was too irritating. This kind of burrito is for hot spicy eating champions (like that awesome guy on that show Man VS Food). If you are one of these people, you will most likely really enjoy this burrito. "But Crazy Gordita, you said there is sour cream in this burrito, surely that should keep the Lava Sauce in check?" I'm glad you asked. There is sour cream in this burrito...but only very very little for some reason, certainly not enough to stop the charging Lava Sauce train.Chicken Volcano Double Burrito Description: Now there is chicken. I wouldn't be surprised if the sauce continued cooking the chicken after the burrito was assembled. My Opinion: Hey this tastes pretty good :: swallows :: OWWW OWWW OWWW...Steak Volcano Double Burrito Description: I can almost hear the poor steak chunks mooing in pain... My Opinion: The "Fire" Border Sauce is jealous because Lava Sauce is hot and it is not.Beef Bacon Cheesy Potato Burrito Description: Beef, nacho cheese sauce, sour cream, bacon bits and seasoned potatoes in a tortilla. (Update 9/28/09: There is a new version of this burrito that is exactly the same but with no bacon.) My Opinion: It sounds simple, but it's absolutely delicious. The potatoes take a center role here and taste great with the bacon and nacho cheese. This is the best one out of the three and gets a SEAL OF APPROVAL!!!Chicken Bacon Cheesy Potato Burrito Description: Very unlike a loaded baked potato, this is a burrito loaded WITH potatoes!! My Opinion: This one is also pretty tasty, but the beef version is leaps and bounds above it. The flavors go with the beef spices extremely well. Still, this one is also good.Steak Bacon Cheesy Potato Burrito Description: Not quite a Steak Burrito Belgrande, but it does have the potatoes! My Opinion: Also quite good, but I can't stress it enough, you MUST try the beef version. It's awesome.Beefy 5 Layer Burrito Description: A burrito filled with beef, beans, cheddar cheese and reduced fat sour cream, which is all wrapped in another tortilla that has nacho cheese sauce spread on it.My Opinion: It's nice, simple and tasty, but the extra tortilla doesn't have that much cheese in it, plus it makes the burrito kinda bready. tl;dr, it's mediocre.Chickeny 5 Layer Burrito Description: Now it has chicken. Yep. My Opinion: The beef version tastes better for some reason.Steaky 5 Layer Burrito Description: Steak. My Opinion: Beef is best, chicken is second, steak is third.BACK TO TACO BELL MENU...
