My GS500 and VF500 as they look now.
This is how my GS looked after I crashed it June '98 on Old Stage Rd north of Alice's Restaurant in CA. I have the crash on video. At the time I had my video camera mounted to the gas tank. The camera survived with no damage at all.
This is a dyno run of my GS500. 41.9 HP @ 9,400 RPM and 26.5 lb-ft Torque @ 4,800 RPM. Notice how my GS500 also lacks a torque "curve." I tuned it myself. I do all the work on my bikes including carburetion adjustments which are now no big deal for me. The easiest way to adjust carbs is by seat-of-the-pants feel and by "reading" the spark plugs.
